Beautiful granite, cabinetry and great flooring. IMO the terra cotta paint does nothing for any of the parts, least of all the cabinets. Perhaps one of the beautiful shades of "colored greys". By that I mean a Grey with a hint of green or even blue in it. Perhaps even another color that you would like to bring into your kitchen. I just don't see the terra cotta working. Good Luck.

I agree beautiful and that I don't see those colors working either. My fiancee and I put in that same maple floor and grey goes very well with it perhaps pick up a color thats in the granite. My vote would be for a light grey with a hint of blue that seems to be some flecks of in your granite.

I agree with the other posters. The terracottas dont work. i know this because I have terracotta on the wall in a similar colored scheme and its awful. I think a grey/green would look lovely.

Please post the results when you have it done. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product. The elements of a fantastic scheme are all there.

I have to agree with the others that the terra cotta colors would not be the best choice. The cabinets would not stand out against that color IMO. LOVE your other choices, though.

I wasn't even going to post an answer when I read your question, because my first thought was a pale, soft green, and I figured it you wouldn't be interested in a cooler toned shade like that. Reading the other posts, though, yes, I agree wholeheartedly with the other posters. Your cabinets are really warm and beautiful, I think terra cotta would be a *lot* of reddish-brown without the needed contrast.

I love Ben Moore's Silken Pine. It's just barely darker than a tinted white; a very pale green. You could also consider BM Palladian Blue at 25%
or 50% saturation, or BM Classic Gray- popular because it's a very neutral, gorgeous gray. Not too warm or to cool, they really got this one right.

Anyway, when you do settle on a color, you may want to do some GWing/Googling and figure out which colors in that family are popular go-to colors professional designers. I've learned that using their go-to colors saves me tons of money in paint sample quarts poor color choices.

I vote for a grayish blue. Beautiful cabinet and countertop choices. It is going to be so nice when it is all put together.

Thanks everyone for the input and advice, we are leaning toward going with a Nantucket Grey. I will post another Picture on Tuesday once all the cabinets are installed & walls are painted.

We have similar colors in our kitchen and we used the Better Homes and Gardens paint called "a touch of Lemon". Love the final look of it on the walls. I also wanted a green, but all of the other rooms in my house are a green of some sort. It depends on the style you are going for. We are doing a modern country vibe. I did a sample of gray and it looked totally different once it is on the walls.

I suggest getting samples and putting them on the wall and see how the light in your room makes the color look. The cheapest paint samples I found were at Lowes. $3 a sample and it covers about 4 square feet. It took me 3 different samples of yellow and 2 different samples of gray to find the one I was looking for.

I think I would be looking at the opposite side of the color wheel to help bring out the cab colors... cool greens etc...
The terra cotta kinda completes with them.
