Your opinions....dedicated childrens guest room?
Comments (34)Dee thank you so much for posting. I love your room! The white with the little pops of bold colors is great for a kids space...but really, an adult would be happy in that cozy land as well. Lav ummm ya, when china land is next clean I'll snap pics lol. I have been so busy setting up stocking city (aka my sewing room) that I kind of let him be a nut...I think he dumped every bin on the floor! Mary Lu, you are right. Being "done"with the whole journey actually brings a great deal of peace to our world. Les, I really can't do trundles in the room because of the way the beds have to sit in the roofline (the room has a gable that juts out where the beds would go. All of the other walls are small, much like dees or have doors that would be blocked. As to tv or computers, right now my mindset is that I don't like them in a Childs bedroom. I may someday change my feelings about that, but for now I don't want young kids surfing where they won't be seen, particularly allowing other parents kids to do in my home without knowing how the parents feel about it. My son has an iPad, and I would imagine that if other kids are one day staying (older) and their parents are ok with that, they'll probably have their own devices for that stuff. I do let ds's friends use mine when supervised but never where we can't sort of monitor what they are doing. But my son is only five. I couldn't have imagined when he was born that he would know how to surf u tube at four lol so I'll reassess as time goes by. As to the bed options...we can always change those options as tine goes on and the kids grow. I can't see the monkeys being my forever decor lol. For the majority of our sons guests, I won't encourage disappearing into the room though. It really is more for sleeping and alone time. We will let the much larger play room grow with the wii etc near a space we hang out so I know what they are up to....See MoreSunroom for daybed
Comments (9)We are downsizing to a very small house for retirement, the guests will be very infrequent. Our 2 extra bedrooms are 10x10 and have to accommodate desks and other essentials. With closets, windows and doors taking up valuable real estate, it was very hard to fit the daybed/trundle in those rooms and be able to open the trundle. hearing your respnoses echos my good friend‘s opinion also. She wanted “her” bathroom close by. I will definitely reconsider. The sunroom will have a ceiling fan and the whole house is central air. i appreciate the comments and having this discussion board, even though some of the remarks could have hurt some sensitive people‘s feelings. if anyone has any other suggestions to fit the daybed/trundle and desks in 10x10 rooms, I would love more help - tactful or not! Comments (2)I ended up finding a shop in the Chassidic area of Boro Park, in Brooklyn, that does them. Looks like a lawson sofa but with a single seat cushion (because it's a mattress) with a zip on cover made of the same fabric as the rest of the couch, with three movable cushions across the back (also with covers from the same fabric) in front of a very thick bolster (similar cover) so that the couch, when in seating mode, has the same seating depth as a regular sofa....See MoreCan you help me style a daybed?
Comments (9)A solid color cover for the day bed will be more zoom friendly. Bolsters would likely work better than throw pillows: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Style3-Twin-Size-6PC-Knife-Edge-Outdoor-Daybed-Mattress-Bolster-Pillow-Fitted-Sheet-Cover-Only-AD106/340351294?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=3032&&adid=22222222227402279270&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=489988977568&wl4=aud-393207457166:pla-1111154162814&wl5=9011020&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=113500432&wl11=online&wl12=340351294&veh=sem&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxaaD46Gm9AIVQeKzCh0LYAnDEAkYASABEgJHLPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds https://www.ebay.com/itm/Style3-Twin-Size-6PC-Pipe-Outdoor-Daybed-Matress-Bolster-Pillow-Cover-Only-AD105-/293669729537 Or you could choose individual bolsters.
