Did anyone save the post on the virtues of elongated toilets?
Comments (3)I just redid my master bath and because of space restrictions I got a round toilet. After reading all the posts about round vs. elongated, I was pretty nervous about my decision. Verdict - I love it, and DH does too....See MoreThe Classic Summer Tomato Sandwich
Comments (69)My mom and my son have a tomato growing contest every summer and I am the beneficiary. I end up with tons of tomatoes and I just adore them. I put sliced tomato on every sandwich. I love grilled cheese and tomato, a burger with a thick slice of tomato and just plain tomato. I bought an Indian Stripe plant at a local plant sale and it is growing ove at mom's. Not aure if she has harvested any of those yet. She also grows basil and I do love a good caprese salad. Everything must be fresh and the balsamic just right. If any of you Pennsylvanians find yourself in the vicinity of Pete's Produce near the Westtown School, be sure to stop in. I had some corn from their that almost brought me to tears it was so delicious....See MoreFirst sleep: Brooklinen Classic Core Sheetset
Comments (26)One more thing. I just got the new Cuddledown catalog today. I want to mention them because I've had their pillows and duvet for years. I've also been in their store in Maine. Plus, when my 20 year old duvet needed to be refilled with down, I was able to send it to them and they made the repair reasonably. So that's all to say that I have done business with them for a long time and I trust them. I also just bought a new bed pad from them and it's outstanding. Was very expensive but it has made a difference and should give me many years of service. Just noticed they have 350 thread count percale sheets with some special pricing. On the same page there are cotton waffle weave blankets. They have sales and I if I needed something I would watch for those and try to take advantage as I did on the bed pad....See More911!! MAPLE FLOORS: Bona IntenseSeal (DTS) on top of Bona ClassicSeal?
Comments (14)Thanks for sharing cac546. Are you saying you can put a Bona sealer down and then put a different Bona sealer over it? Our floor guy called Bona customer service yesterday about a couple of general questions. The ClassicSeal was so light I wanted to know if we could apply two coats ClassicSeal then the Traffic so we atleast better see it. Bona advise against it. Don't know the specifics around why, our guy just shook his head no while on the phone with them. Point of interest with our samples: After looking at different stains, and determining no thank you, we looked at a sample of the Natural and ClassicSeal. We too could barely tell any difference between the two sealers. The Classic had a touch of tint, but it was maybe millimeters difference. Wondering if that would also have been the case with IntenseSeal. And you definitely don't remember any color with IntenseSeal? You're absolutely right about our species of floor being different from each other and the end result. At the end of the day, we love the warm, honey, creamy blonde floors on this maple. We trust any continued feedback....See MoreJeannine
