Kitchen sink advice,..please

Oakley

I have a three week time frame to make a decision on a kitchen sink. Right now I have stainless steel, although it's almost 30 years old, it looks like new...kind of. :)

I want an aproned farm sink. My builder is hell bent on telling me if I drop a pan in there (which I did this morning in the SS sink), that the sink will break or chip. I told him there is NO way I'm going back to SS.

I did a web search and it seems like most of the farm sinks are made with Fire Clay. I can't find any cast iron sinks.

Anyone here with a fire clay sink? If so, does it hold up well with klutzes like me?

If you have a cast iron farm sinnk, what is the brand name, and does it also hold up well?

I may be ending up ordering my sink through the internet, the custom cabinet guy said he gets a lot of them this way.
