help me decide -vanity top color

User

In our guest room bath, which hs gray floor tile, toilet and tub... I painted the vanity a creamy white(actually it is SW Greek Villa).

The walls are Valspar River Mist. This shows the color on the wall, and a good representation (from the towel bar) of what the gray is like. My question is this- I have been looking to replace the vanity top and just found 2 exccellent potentials.

One is a carrara marble top with a white sink. This was a tLowe's. The carrara was more gray than white, but that might work just fine in the room. I worry about durability of the marble though... For the 49 inch, it was $279... The other was at Hd and it was midnight black granite with a white sink for $199. I will also get new faucet and light fixtures, and hinges on teh vanity.

I go back and forth between them can't decide. What do you think?

and finally, the shower curtain which I love and helped motivate me to get this going:)

So to summarize.... black countertop or gray/white countertop? And of course feel free to comment or suggest any other (inexpensive) suggestions.
