Could be a fungus like Vladimir said, could also be an insect egg or just dirt on a bit of fluff. However, I'm more concerned with how dusty the leaves are. I may just be dust or it could be the beginnings of a spider mite infestation. It's a good idea to wash off the leaves from time to time, like maybe every 4-6 weeks. Take them outside and hose them off, or if that's not possible, put them in the shower and shower them off with cool water. Then let them drain well and put them back where they were. It helps prevent spider mites as they're attracted to dusty plants. And your plants love the rinsing off!

I found the tiles themselves at Interceramic Tile, although I'm sure they can be found many places. In my "Before" kitchen, I used to have cream colored 4x4" field tiles with flowered Mexican Talavara tiles scattered throughout the kitchen randomly. It sounds similar to what you had. But, with our newly done kitchen I didn't want to be locked into a specific few accent colors. I went neutral instead, as you can see in my pics. It's working out great for me like this. During the Christmas Season, the reds & green decs looked good in there. Now, during the Winter Season, I'm going with my New Mexican art, which also looks good. As we have a 13 y/o daughter, I still put up seasonal decs. I know my pastel Easter and Spring ones will look fine and not clash with colors in my kitchen . . . now. Same with Summer colors (bright flowers in pots, etc), Halloween and Autumn decs, too. Anyhoo, this was my rationalization for choosing the neutral tiles and backsplash. The bottom line is that I love being able to totally change the accent colors in my kitchen anytime I feel like it now with just my accessories. "Lynn's Backsplash & Tile Pics"

We were lucky to find good cabinet makers to work with, and we're also fortunate to have 9 foot ceilings to reach up to. Makes the 'small' by modern standards 10x15 foot kitchen feel a lot larger. Because we don't have any really long runs of cabinets, the frameless construction is less impactful, and frankly having framed inset doors would have probably looked too busy in this small space. The thick 1.5" gables on the sides of the fridge and dishwasher are nice touches as well and help frame in the frameless doors.

Some great ideas - I might have to add them to what I have already done. It is amazing - if you organize it, it tends to stay organized! A bit late as I was traveling Here is my Spice Stack Closed up spices - I have more in my baking area - but this allows me to use standard bottle for most of my general spices. Dish Drawer - still working on the final resolution - I know longer have the 8 lb peg board in it. My baking cabinet - extra flour is in the pantry - but I think I have about 8 varieties... Blind corner - I used these cheap Copco lazy susan units until I get energetic to make something better. i only use on the top 2 shelves. Above oven - similar to others How do you say OCD - LOL :-) The insert is Rev-a-shelf for the silver and just plain knife block from the local vacuum store. I think it is a Wustoff. Vertical drawer dividers so I don't have to unstack most items - but loved the idea of tension curtain rods... More vertical storage Over the top - organized towels!! More baking dishes and wraps as well - wish I made this one a 4 stack but didn't want to have too many wierd lines My bread machine drawer - it now houses my Vitamix attachments as well. I also have a container drawer - love having the plastic in drawers so no more avalanches!! My "jig saw" drawer - these are bins by Made Smart and I literally sat at BBB and put them together to figure out what worked - I have modified a few of the bins - they probably think I am nuts - I keep taking things back and getting different ones.
