As annoying as Kent was I was still rooting for the Goths. They were the only ones who didn't openly cheat last week. I so want the Zev/Justin team to go since they a were the ones who started all the answer giving. With the teams left I want the sisters to win. They've had the best attitude throughout the race. The Globetrotters have their fame already and the dad/daughter just annoy me. Her tongue is always flapping about God or sticking out the side of her mouth like some mongrel's. LOL If they don't change the rules about giving away answers this is probably the last season I'll watch. I watch Survivor knowing it is a social game. Now they've turned TAR into a social game rather than one of couples using their own physical and mental skills. They should rename it Survivor On the Move. The "race" is no longer.

If they put down an installation date of June 8th, then that's what they owe you. Obviously, life happens, and things can get delayed a little here or there. But 6 weeks' delay is just not OK. I throw my vote into the pile of "Call The Manager". And if that doesn't work then Call Corporate. I'm pretty sure these stores must all be semi-independent if for no other reason than that they're contracting with different local folks, so you would expect a quite different level of service in different locales. But that doesn't mean the corporate office isn't wanting any level of consistency. I imagine they would want to be knowing about this bait-and-switch if the manager isn't incensed. Really, I'm guessing that higher-ups will help you out. But you do have to reach out to them and explain your frustration about the situation. BTW, while the local shop may be overworked and overwhelmed, it will also be the case that Lowes' is a massive customer and they will do what they say. If the store manager calls and says 'honor the June 8th contract date', I'm guessing they will honor the June 8th contract date. It can't possibly be worth it to them to lose their contract with Lowes. Call the manager.

Kathleen, I'm just shaking my head here. YOU have come a long way baby! About the dogs, this is where knowledge will come in handy. In my mom's community they have spay and neuter clinics about once a month. Low cost to all, practically free for those who ask for extra help. We have a clinic in our state, about 80 miles away. There are times during the year a few animal clinics give lower rates to spay and neuter. What I'm getting at is that Lauren or you, need to get on the phone and find out who can spay and neuter the dogs for less, then present these facts to your ex. Ok, I guess you don't need to do this but it will at least let Lauren know you have some concern for her and the dogs, without having to take them into your own home. You can't take care of everyone's dog, even if we wanted too. I try not to talk about other peoples posts but Kayjones, I don't think at this point it would do Kathleen any good to report her ex. He as several dogs and a couple of puppies. Some Or all have worms, nothing new there. Maybe the animal control will do something , like tell him to worm the dogs but what will this do for Kathleen? Make her ex even more unbearable and the kids have to be with him at times. I think working with him if it's at all possible would be better for the kids and the dogs. Chances are whether it's these dogs or his next dogs, there is going to be some trouble. No need for Kathleen to put herself in the middle of his train wreck. IMO Kathleen, since you don't know what kind of worms the dogs have, you could talk to your ex about the dogs. If he isn't going to do anything would he let Lauren give them a vet recommended wormer? It may not do the job but it's a start. I take it the pups are over 6 weeks? I know the worms the outdoor dogs get here are easily treated with 3 pills, unlike the powder for several days they used to take. You shouldn't have to take care of your ex but this is a learning situation for Lauren and Alex. Give Lauren the knowledge for a plan b or c. Plan A, with you taking the pups is a no go, she needs to have some thoughts on how to take care of the situation. Plan b, inexpensive neuter/spay. Plan C could be to put up fliers for the pups, all around town. Give the puppies away or sell them and do I dare say here, hope for the best. Lauren needs to face dad with the sad facts that feeding several dogs takes alot of care and ask him why he keeps them. You have grown so much Kathleen. Give Lauren and Alex the smarts you have gained over the years.

I can empathize with you MK. Every year i get some of the same. I think I have 4 or 5 so far this year that have the pips nibbled off. As Ken said, usually they look OK by mid summer and new leaves have come out, but as the nibbled pips open up the leaves will be somewhat ragged. If real bad, I will pull them off or just chalk it up as collateral damage. I have used and still use most all of the deterrents mentioned and all work about equally well. I think my best results have been granular deer and rabbit repellent by Liquid Fence and applied when the pips first emerge. Then one of the liquid repellents as they start to leaf out. The problem is getting it on timely and reapplying after rains. IMHO, any deterrent is OK to use. This won't make me to popular but I am one of those that josephine referred to, I sometimes resort to a .22 deterrent. I really do like wildlife but won't tolerate them destroying my hard work and expenses however possible. I enjoy the "fur babies" many ways, fried, baked or grilled and don't apologize to anyone for it.
