Just got the best deal on chairs so I thought I would share!

We are planning on a custom made 8ft table with seating for 10 and I have always been sure that the price of chairs would kill me! But I was looking yesterday and found a deal at JC Penney's that I couldn't pass up, this is $60 for a PAIR of chairs!!! I am planning on having them painted at the paint shop that is doing my cabinets but even with that added expense I am saving tons of money!!! :) Yay! It feels so good when something comes in under budget!

I also ordered a pair of bar stools for $67.50, so you might want to check that out too.

Oh, I forgot to mention...I also got free shipping! I am so excited about this find I hope it helps someone elso out as well :)

I was just mentioning to someone the other day that my parents used to always buy furniture from JC Penney. It was very quality stuff.

Yep, they were in the pics, they would be on the left hand side of the pics showing the grouping of trees. I find it way too easy to laugh as fozzybeth... way way too easy. shes just... lets say unique ;) thanks for the comments thought :0 we'll see what the pics look like in a month or 2 heh the Pom doesn't look so good anymore... it has lost 80% of its leaves now :( ahh, the mess will be soon over and all the remaining trees BETTER keep all their leaves!!! I am really worried about WLD. I am NOT wanting to go through it, but... being I have alrady moved them in, I should be ok I think. the leave drop is due to the change in temp, and then... I just hope I am ok on it. no bugs so far on any trees... so hoping to be safe! Make sure fozzy beth knows how crazy I think she is, and how much I apreciate all she has done... and that I am waiting impatiently on haircuts hehehe

you made me remember my parents first remodel. My Mom happened to run across an ad in the local paper for an appliance store that was closing. She went over to check it out and found the following: a 7-element Thermador cooktop (over 48" wide?) a Thermador double oven. a VAH wide enough for the cooktop with heating racks. a GE 25' SxS fridge a KA (or at that time Hobart) dishwasher a KA (probably Hobart) disposal a GE washer/dryer pair. Mom said, "How much?" The store owner said, "well, if you take them off my hands today and pay cash, how about 25% of list price?" Mom said, "give me the phone." She called my Dad who drove over with the pickup, loaded everything up and paid cash. It all sat in the garage for the time it took to complete the cabinet build-out, but at %75 off it didn't matter. Oh, the Thermadors, VAH and dw were stainless. The fridge was white. But the price was right. ;-)

Thanks girls. Heres' some birch bark art too. I'm just getting some pics on photobucket finally. I'll add the direct link so you can see it all. Finally got the picture thing down (dummie me took me awhile) so am adding pics as I have the extra time. I also am starting a cabinet project today. It's an unfinished cabinet, I'm going to finish it and mix mosiac and birch bark on it on the sides. And add clear glass on the front doors. If it turns out they way I want it will be the TV stand and he DVD/dish will go under behind the glass. We'll see how it turns out but if my mind eye is right it will be cool. Kinsey06, thank you so much for the tip! I just went on and bought 10 chairs and 4 counter stools, and saved OVER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS! I figure that even if they don't work out for me I can get new ones in a few years, after the financial dust settles from the remodel, but honestly, I think they will work just fine.

I have rediscovered JCPenney through this build. I had never thought of them for anything, and as I started looking around, I found a handful of things that were very nice and so reasonably priced. I bought some beautiful silk curtains there that were nice than PB and less expensive. I got kind of hooked and although I know some who kind of turn their noses up at JCP, I have found that they have several items that look like a million bucks if you just use them right.

So glad I could help eustacem! I also bought 19 chairs and 2 bar stools and for under $400!!! I can't believe it, I could have easily spent that on one chair, so now I too can have the custom table that I want :) They have really good reviews so I am really excited to see them in person! And like you said if in a couple years I decide that I want something else I won't feel bad about it!
