I have a Kohler Fairfax pullout at my prep sink. I also wanted a low profile faucet b/c (1) it has cabinets over part of it (it's in a corner) and (2) it's on our peninsula and I didn't want it to overwhelm. I also wanted a pullout or pull down since I don't like the separate sprays on the side (can't "lock" them on & are more awkward to use, in my experience). For some uses, like filling pots or the fish water bucket on the counter, I prefer the pullout to my pull down on my main/cleanup sink. (To fill a pot sitting on the counter, I just pull out the faucet, hook the faucet head on the edge of the pot, and then go do something else while it fills...but you have to keep an eye on it so it doesn't overflow!) For me, a pullout was a better choice all around for the prep sink.

That looks great, Sue! We keep the sheets for those beds in the baskets. A couple of tips... we found that cotton jersey (knitted) sheets fit those French mattresses better than a woven cotton. Also, to keep the mattresses from moving buy one of those waffle type rubber rug pads and cut it to fit the top of the base. It will provide enough grip to keep the mattress in place. That is a darling little table btw!

My two cents. They look to be in good shape. You hate the red, you're sick to death of it. I absolutely would stick to a performance velvet. !00 % polyester. I'd do a Schumacher Empress in a heartbeat. You're up against oak trim, red was probably never a great idea. A soft white, warm and deep camel , a deep gray.....a spa green, ........... I've used performance velvet on too many sofas to count, especially in homes with kids in family rooms. A solid is always a best bet - this is what decorative toss pillows are FOR. Don't reinvent a wheel : ) You can have a fabric like this from Pottery Barn for as little as 30.00 a yard.... or a Schumacher online for 75.00 . !00,00 double rubs wear factor. You'll be dead before you wear it out. You buy whatever the upholsterer says you NEED, and it should include an extra few yards to skip any potential flaw, and some left for you for ...who knows what -it's always wise. More than a few online sources for it on line. All are basically 75 a yard....that's VERY moderate btw Even Chairish has it : ) Note...... ASK ANY DESIGNER. In these times: supply chains, mills, and the fact that MANY of these fabrics come from China? Especially all those in the performance category? Get your head around working with the best of what you can have. I've lost count of the hours spent chasing goods. Of any type. .............just believe it. New sofas? HA, Start from 30 to 38 weeks to anything half decent and just as long for junk like Crate and Barrel. ( yes, it is junk ) Where you will be limited to very basic colors, anyway. Whatever you decide, do it now.......the prices and timelines are NOT going to get better any time soon. PS? time to lose the 1980 "Insulation quilted" shade.
