Frontgate or QVC for artificial trees? Which look most realistic?
Comments (4)For years I have admired the Frontgate slim green spruce and one of these days (maybe an after-Christmas sale) I am going to pull the trigger and buy one, Nothing but good reviews on that one. For artificial Christmas trees with incandescent lights, QVC only carries the Bethlehem lights brand. (which is a very good brand) However, the bottoms of all of their 9' trees always line up to the host's knees. In other words, there is ALOT of space between the floor and the start of the tree. (unless it's Christmas eve, with oodles of presents) that is a huge open space. That is the only reason I have never purchased their trees. Years ago I used to work at a greenhouse that carried some Bethlehem lights trees, I do remember the bottoms of the trees being very high....See MoreBalsam Hill Christmas tree quality
Comments (12)I'm glad I saw this post, as I'm looking to replace a very expensive tree I bought from Tree Classics two seasons ago. Well, the first season, the lights failed three times. They replaced one section under warranty and were supposed to replace the entire tree after the holiday season, but said they were out of stock and would send later. In September '12, I still hadn't received the replacement tree and started contacting Tree Classics again. Guess what?! They'd gone out of business (bankrupt) and sold their name. The new Tree Classics, marketing under the same name and selling the same items from the identical website still claiming to be in business for over 30 years, said they weren't responsible for "that other" Tree Classics, who sold "inferior" products to theirs. I paid almost $800 for a tree that didn't work for even a full year and had zero recourse. Run away!...See MoreArtificial Christmas Tree
Comments (2)I was so close to ordering that same tree. I loved it. I happened to find a beautiful tree with no lights on it that I really wanted in my town. But I was going to order a tree from Frontgate. I've purchased a lot from them and they always have been great products, so I wasn't worried about the quality. My friend ordered barstools, one came with a problem and they replaced right away. They are great to work with. If you have an Entertainment Coupon book they have a coupon for Frontgate. At least mine did. Just a thought. 15% is 15%, save that money to help with shipping. I am going to order the greenery swags for the garage carriage lights. The thing was I just happened to come across this tree without lights and I was having a hard time finding one, but I would have gotten Frontgate's tree for sure. Even with the lights. If you order it I'm sure it would be nice....See MoreBest Artificial Tree
Comments (1)It depends greatly on what fullness you prefer, in my opinion. I am going to buck popular trends and say that I do not like the overly-full ones, real OR artificial, where all the ornaments "hang" on just the outer plane -- I love being able to decorate from the tips all the way into the trunk. That said, here is what I bought two years ago: http://www.grandinroad.com/noblis-fir-artificial-christmas-tree/698014 I LOVE IT!!! Notice spelling of 'noblis', not 'noble'. This perfect-for-me tree is exactly what I had been hoping for in an artificial tree -- looks so authentic. And if I do say so, Is utterly gorgeous when finished (I'm of the "fling the fripperies with joyous abandon" school of Xmas tree decorating, LOL). Wish I was able to post a photo......See MoreRelated Professionals
