I'd love to see bigger pictures -- maybe if you get a photo account at Photobucket or Snapfish or Flickr and then attach a link to it? Looks great, would love to see some of the finer detail!

In photobucket, did you try the "edit", then "resize" tab? If you do, it should give you options. If you did that and resize doesn't work, then it has to do with the original photo. Not sure why, but some photos won't resize to the size you want them. I've had this happen. You can delete and add the photo again, but sometimes it still won't work.

If you created an album for your photobucket account, copy and paste the URL in the link box below the posting box.

Leanne--I agree, it would be nice to see larger pictures and I think you will get more hits with a more descriptive subject line. To post bigger pictures in photobucket: click on your photo. Then click on resize. You will see several preset sizes on a pull down menu. Choose the next to the largest size and then save the photo (either save a copy or replace the original). Hope this helps. Looking forward to seeing your pix.

For some reason, if I click on the photo with the table and the checkered wall paper, I can get to the album and see all the photos nicely sized. Beautiful new kitchen and quite a change in 'personality!'

Wow - that looks great!! Thanks, Rhome for fixing the sizes. I really like your peninsula - that's a great way to provide more counter using a similar footprint. I currently have my sink on the diagonal with the dishwasher to the left - I like the sink in front of the window with the dishwasher at the angle. Thank you for posting!! I can't wait to show DH.

Leanne, how did you support the granite on the back side of the peninsula? Is there an additional leg on that side?

leann-i am so happy for you to finally have a dishwasher! you deserve it after all this time. your kitchen turned out just beautiful.

to get your photos larger, you must save them larger in whichever software you use to get them onto your computer from your digital camera. You must have saved these at a very low resolution. this is good for fast upload times, but not so good for viewing. if you upload them too high, they will be too large on this site, but that can be remedied in photobucket easy enough. you can just change the resolution there to make them smaller if you need to..

The photos are not small on photobucket, so I think maybe you cut and pasted the thumbnail image code? Whenever I download a photo to photobucket, I immediately 'resize' to 'large' and that seems the best for posting in the message, using the HTML code. Anyway, great job on the kitchen!

Looks 100% better! You did a good job opening up that narrow U-shape. It's so nice and bright and cheery.

And I like that "2-car garage" you've got there! That must really hold a lot.

Beautiful transformation!! I think you can use any number of colors to accessorize it do you have a favorite color that you want to pick up to add flow from the surrounding rooms?

I am not good at the lipstick/mascara stuff, but just wanted to tell you how pretty your kitchen looks. I like your rounded peninsula seating area. The cabinets look just gorgeous with the granite, and those glass doors.

And oh my, that fridge looks great -- is that 42" wide? That big blank wall next to the fridge and pantry is crying out for something, but I don't know what. I'm sorry,...wish I was better at offering suggestions for accessories!

The little peek into your DR, the blue in the bedroom, and the flowers leads me to think you're a fan of periwinkle blue and maybe some red? Why don't you hit up stores like Ross, Tuesday Morning, HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, Marshalls; and stroll through their housewares departments. Look for some pieces of pottery, colorful plates, ceramic bowls. See if there's a pattern of color that you're drawn toward. The stuff is so inexpensive there that you can change it up if the mood strikes. Group things by some form of categorization. It could be color, theme, like size, or like item. It'll be fun to do (when you're over being desensitized from the remodel) and not cost alot of $$.

oh wow. what a difference. I bet you are just so happy every time you walk in there. especially now that it's over... lol! great way to do the peninsula to give you counter space and seating.

take your time thinking about what colors you want to add into your kitchen - and what you want on that bare wall. A huge painting, print, photo? something will come to you. it's just time to let it all settle now for a bit. In time, browse some mags, a few stores, online etc and see what strikes you.

yandj: Below is a pic of the cabinetry before the countertop went on. It looks like a lot of weird angles! There is no additional bracket to support the granite -- its the cabinetry underneath. I tried to squeeze in as much storage as I could.

I like it, it's very bright and cheery! I like the way you designed all the storage space under the penninsula and your double garage. Beautiful pendant over the penninsula too!
