We have a LONG ways to go on our kitchen renovation...but like most others, I'm already losing sleep over the backsplash design!

I love the traditional 3 X 6 white glazed subway tiles but I feel the need to change it up just a little bit without causing regret later...sound familiar?

Any thoughts on using a single row of 6 X 12 glass subway tile (a neutral beige or gray) at the base of the BS, then using 3 x 6 white glazed traditional subway the rest of the way up?
