What color white cabs with Bianco Antico granite?

We are planning to use Bianco Antico granite for the countertops in our new kitchen. I'd like to go with white painted cabinets, and am wondering what color white others have used with the BA granite.

I'm trying to achieve a nice, warm look, as opposed to a cooler version of white (no stark, "bright white" or gray-ish whites), but do not want it to be too yellow.

If anyone has any specific whites they'd recommend, I'd love to hear about them.

Whoa boy. I'm trying to find a white that's not stark but isn't yellow against my Carrara. Tough. At least BA is warmer than my gray Carrara so you have that going for you.

Redroze used BA in her kitchen. Her white is BM Chantilly Lace. It's a very nice, clean white. I thought I'd found the right color when I picked it. When I put a sample door with that against my marble it looks too stark, like a hospital, but I can imagine it looking nice with BA IRL. Redroze has her kitchen on the Finished Kitchen Blog. Beekeeperswife also has BA, buti can't remember what color she used. She's in the FKB too.

A few have recently posted BA kitchens, but I'm not sure if they are on the FKB. You could search for Michiganrachel and Sherriz.

I have BA, but have a dark cork floor. If I were doing a tile I know how wrong this is....but I think a marble would look great. So, what about a marble look-alike? Calacatta Porcelain tile, or something like that? I like things that sparkle with my BA, that is why I think about marble--even though it itself isn't sparkly it goes with "sparkly". Here is a floor (originally on Maria Killam's Colour Me Happy Blog), but who knows...Hollywood could have used something like a vinyl tile to get this look: Or if you prefer a darker look, maybe one of the tiles that looks like wood. Those are gorgeous. I have my eye on those for an upstairs bathroom. I would hop over to Mission Stone & Tile's website because they have a lot of eye candy and look around for ideas. Do you have a little sample of the granite from the lot yours is from? That will give you a starting point. Take the granite piece to the paint store, and start there. I think you will like cloud white. (especially since your woodwork is that color!) I guess you should also try white dove. I'm sure you know by now that BM offers sample sizes for all colors now. Not just the "popular" ones in those little jars. If you do have the sample granite piece, it is nice to hold up the paint samples at home in your lighting with the granite. My thoughts on the lighting at the fabricator's place--at least both the paint sample and the granite will be in that icky light. You will be able to tell if it works. Maybe they can even move the slab for you to better light, maybe near a door. If for some reason you don't have a piece of granite, ask if they have one for you--maybe they just did a job using that granite and have a piece they can give you. I used to keep a piece of granite, a piece of my cork floor, all my paint swatches with me in a tote bag. My husband was always amazed I could whip out my bag and produce samples. I also had pictures of the stove and hood too. Hey, you never know....

kitchenaddict-my granite is called golden lapidus and DH and I love it but the delicatus would have allowed me to keep my old appliances which were white. I could have waited to replace them. Unfortunately, the white clashed with my granite so stainless is now sitting in my kitchen-smudges, fingerprints, and all!! The granite is in a category labeled Old World/Tuscan-very earthy colors-butterscotch, caramel, hot fudge brown, black, gray, some white, lots of sparkly things. When I saw the delicatus it was too late but it would have worked in my kitchen. BA is a very nice granite but I like something that's more off the beaten track. I've only seen one other kitchen with my granite on the finished kitchens web site. Haven't seen a lot of kitchens with delicatus but if you google delicatus granite it will bring up a page that has a link to an old post 08/08 talking about this granite with pics. I agree that the pencil mosaic tile would be too much with the granite. A simpler option as suggested many times in the thread is the way to go. I have also heard that pencil tile was kind of on its way "out". I get what you mean about subway tile. However, I found this image on Pinterest and it really spoke to me. Still subway tile but with a creative twist. Laying the first row vertically where the tile meets the granite and horizontal up to the cabinets takes away some of the boring and makes it more interesting. I think it would compliment your granite and cabinets nicely.

My answer can never be short and sweet....

I ended up with Cloud White. And here is my thought process in getting there:

Took two chips to the granite fabricator's shop to decide. Based on the fact that I was painting the cabinets myself and using oil based paint, which I knew would get creamier, I ended up going with the Cloud White because it was brighter. In the photos of my kitchen, it looks very bright (due to the professional lighting that was used), but if you hold up Cloud White to the cabinets (just after 6 months) they are creamier than the original paint color that I put on them.

Also, all BA granite is not the same. Some of the whites in the BA are creamier than others. I would seriously take some paint chips to the rock itself and make the decision.

Thank you for your suggestions. I've picked up samples of Cloud White, Chantilly Lace, Swiss Coffee and a few others. Definitely a good starting point!
