Help with backsplash and Bianco Antico
Comments (10)I have bianco antico, white perimeter cabinets and a walnut island. I went with your basic white subway tile and I love it. I do love Beekeeper's tile, too, but I ended up keeping it very simple. I think the white could offer enough of a contrast with the cream color it sounds like you have. Otherwise, you could perhaps find a creamy color subway tile. Here is one picture and I've linked to my post with LOTS of pictures below. Have fun tomorrow! Comments (9)Beautiful Kitchen photos! Our bianco antico countertops and 6 inch backsplash are being installed next Wed/Thurs!!!! I'm going to paint the cabinets white (not sure about the island yet-maybe black/chocolate brown). I love the browns in the granite...I want the gorgeous granite to be the focus of the kitchen and the backsplash to be an accent...so since we only have about 12" to tile (and a space above the built-in desk) I am thinking of using a tile by American Olean/Urban Canvas in the Matte Nutmeg 2X4 with the Ellipse Accent 1/2 X 8 1/2 in French Mocha. Click on this to see the tile http://americanolean.com/series.cfm?series=144&c=49 My first thought was that we would use white subway tile, but the brilliant white is so close to the antico bianco that the granite looks dingy. ...I will make my final decision after the granite is in...oh, so many decisions! So much work to do! So little time! I may be back on here with all my pictures to ask your opinion! Good luck with your decision! Comments (12)KA - How did your trip to the granite yard go? Did you find your slab? I agree that Delicatus and BA are cousins, if not siblings. Love the light color and the sparkles in both. Bee - I could look at pics of your kitchen and new backsplash all day long and never be bored. I do like the stingray a lot and was wondering if there might be a color that would look good with BA, as you and DonnaKay both went white and redroze is pretty close to white with her Ann Sacks tile. I need to get a variety of samples, but some of my early ideas will clearly not go with the BA (which I totally love by the way -- it looks fabulous with the cherry. It's far and away the home-run feature so far). Anyway, I'll try to get a sample of the stingray. My paint is silver sage and I think it would go with that too....See MoreBianco Antico with Stainless backsplash
Comments (4)Your counters and bs are lovely! I can see why you don't want them covered by anything... I find our sons and my dh are oblivious and think they can just drop their stuff everywhere. It is an uphill battle. It does not help that I work on the weekend and they are home or running in and out. It doesn't take a CSI tech to figure out everything they did all day, lol... I will work on housebreaking them all until it sticks. I bet if a few things go missing, they may be more careful where they dump their possessions ;)....See MoreUser
