Black cabinets, trying to figure out countertops
Comments (3)There are lots of discussions about this in the kitchen area. And here on houzz, if you search photos of black cabinets, you'll get more results than you can handle....See MoreSpectrum Quartz counter tops
Comments (149)We ended up going with Pristine, and it's absolutely beautiful. It's been a year, and it looks brand new, no stains or issues. I love it even more than expected. My husband is thrilled and the whole room looks elevated. We used BM Simply White for the cabinets and SuperCore oak natural for the floors. Check my profile for pics in progress (old floors, tho). We've chosen Satori venatino marble subway tiles for the backslash and all these whites are compatible-- no issues with warm/cool undertones fighting. I'll be sealing the marble on all 6 sizes via a dunk in 511 sealer. Can't wait to see it finished-- the marble could've been risky against a marble-look quartz, but it looks absolutely perfect and gorgeous together....See MoreKitchen Counter tops - Cost of MSI quartz and quartzite
Comments (5)In my area, $79 a sq foot is on the very lowest side of what I see in Atlanta (that requires going outside the city a bit - nowhere inside the metro area has prices that low, I don't think anyway). Perhaps b/c you are getting such a small amount and it is coming from a remnant? I agree with other poster's comments though - pick one or the other; don't mix. It will look like you didn't have enough money to put the quartzite everywhere. If you want to mix and match something, have the cabinets in the island be a different color, or wood and the perimeter white or cream (not sure what you are going for so just throwing out ideas)....See MoreMSI quartz sample does not match installed counter tops
Comments (23)Yes you're right! So I had the old Carrara marmi and they were getting a new lot in June that would be whiter so I think that ended up being the difference. They said the company switched manufacturers and the whole lot they had received was the off white tone of marmi. It's identical to the first picture! I had no idea there was a new vs old. Luckily they were very helpful and are allowing me to pick out any quartz from the show room and replace it for $300 whichever I choose. I could have gotten the new marmi but I would have to wait until June when it comes in. This felt like a great option to me though as the higher up quartz was not really in my price range at all. So I am happy with that and I got to look through many different styles of white quartz slabs in the warehouse and bring a few home to decide. They are going to replace the whole thing. Now I just have to choose between Cararra Morro and Calacutta Clara!...See Moremomtotwinboys
