Etsy is a good source for decorative pillows.

I love that fabric also-- I could see it in most any room of my house. I agree with Fun2BHere though-- if you want ready-made pillows in interesting patterns, I'd check etsy.

I can't quite figure out the inessa pillow. It looks like the same pattern, but bigger. Maybe it's bigger than I'm thinking it is.

Can't imagine how much the bedding would cost if the pillow is $195 (yikes is right).

msrose, I think it must be quite a large pattern because if you go to the first link I posted (the $195 one) and look at the matching bedspread it does look about the same size. I'm wondering if the etsy store has written the wrong fabric in the description?

It's a beautiful fabric, I like it! I found myself looking for the "perfect" pillows, and searched and search.. and finally found myself on You-Tube.. watching video's on sewing! Guess what.. I made 6 throw pillows, and they are perfect (in design, some sewing errors I see - but nobody else does) . It's not that hard and a lot less expensive! I know you said you didn't know or want to sew... funny, I wrote the exact same thing a few months back.

The larger print sure looks different. I dont't think I like it as well for pillows as when I thought it was a small floral. I love it as a comforter, though.

And tinker, those you- tube videos on sewing are wonderful, aren't they?
I've also been watching them to put zippers in some pillows, and as I make my dining chair slipcovers.

I may have to email them and ask some questions. Are they saying the name of the fabric is Kravet, because that doesn't match up with what you guys found above.

tinker - I guess if I was ever to sew something, a square would probably be easier than most things. I'd have to go out and buy a sewing machine though and then it would end up costing me more. I buy pillows like some women buy shoes though, so it would probably pay off in the end :)

Dee - I'm also trying to decide if I like the large print as much as when I thought it was small.

Msrose, do you have a Garden Ridge in your area? They have TONS of pillows, all sorts of sizes, shapes, prints, solids, and not pricey.

Pier one is another good source, and the colors shown look to be like what they have in the store. They usually have a sale going on or you may find coupons on line.

patty_cakes - Yes! I do have Garden Ridge and hadn't even thought about looking there. I did look at Pier One's website earlier, but didn't see anything. I also looked at World Market's website.

On the second link in terriks' reply from yesterday, it shows the pattern repeat, This is on the HouseFabric.com website where I have bought several fabrics. It IS a large repeat, if you look at the measurements below. 27" H means that the horizontal design repeats every 27", so it would appear twice side by side in the 54" width of the fabric. 25" V means that the vertical view of the design is 25" high.

The link to fabric on eBay has similar colors, but no brown. It has an 18" repeat.

another_linda - In my search for matching that green paint color, I've found that you need to test samples in the Actual room you will be painting. I would recommend grabbing some paint swatches that look similar to the color that you see and like on your computer screen, and then testing them out on the walls.

msrose - Not yet. I took forever deciding on the green paint (finally chose Ben Moore's Spring Bud), and want to see the paint on the walls before making a final decision on the fabric.

I'm still undecided about the pillows, so I wanted to see what you guys think of it in my room. They would replace the patterned pillows that are currently on my sofa.

One more question! This is taken from the etsy website. Is she saying that I need to order a pillow that is 24x24 if I get the 22x22 pillow cover? I don't normally get the down pillows, because I like something firmer. Do you think I should still get a larger size?

msrose I would still get a slightly larger size insert, that's what I normally do and it just fills the pillow covers better IMO and makes them a bit plumper.

Absolutely! Always use a larger insert than the cover. I use nothing but down inserts - using down and a larger insert makes such a difference in how the pillow looks. In fact, last year when ordering some outdoor pillow inserts (waterproof)from RH, I sent the first order back because they were for a smaller cover! After the second order I called and they told me that is how they sell their inserts - they base a larger size insert on the pillow cover size. Looks sooo much better.

Tinam61 - when you say using down and a larger insert makes such a difference in how the pillow looks, what exactly do you mean? When I think of down pillows, I think of squishy pillows not holding their shape, but maybe it would be different if the insert were a bigger size than the cover.

I've only ordered inserts from Pottery Barn. Is there a better place to get them?

The lady on the etsy site is going to mail me a sample of the fabric, so I think that will really help to see it in person.

The pillows are just plumper and to me have a better shape than a foam insert. I much prefer the look of down. True, you can mash a down pillow down, but it plumps right back up.

I got the fabric sample today and the print is bigger than I originally thought, but not near as big as it looks on the etsy site. It's a nice, heavy duty fabric...much better than the pillow covers I got from PB. It matches the colors in my end table perfectly. What do you think?
