Fabrics - I need help coordinating in the kitchen area. . .
Comments (19)Shee, how many windows do you have, just 1 window and the door as shown in your pic or windows on both sides of the door? We have about the same situation and PO installed mini blinds on the windows and door therefore the door cannot open completely. Do you open your door? I plan to ditch the mini blinds and DD is making a lined drapery that will be mounted up above the windows and door. It will be on a metal rod with rings and little clips. My plan is to pull the drapery together to the center in the morning (faces east) and then close again in the evening for privacy. We don't open our door often but when we do I would love to have it open back against the window and not poke out into the breakfast room. I love your fabrics, also agree that whatever is in your dining area should match the kitchen valance....See MoreNeed help with accent pillows . . .
Comments (5)My suggestion would be to try to keep colors/designs subtle as overdone beach theme can tend to look rather juvenile. You might find another color in the Audubon prints you could repeat in the pillows - just something to keep in mind. Check out "Ralph Lauren on beach style here." Geometrics in either blue or beige tones, subtle non-beach pattern, solids, and textured fabrics show his sophisticated style. I love RL. ["Lots of beach style photos here."[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/beach-style-phbr0lbl-bl~l_10674) I'll leave you to plow through them for inspiration. Hope you show us what you decide on when it's done. :-)...See MoreHelp Needed with Accent Pillows for Bergere Chairs with print PIC
Comments (5)Thanks for the replies. Roarah, the color of the couch is anout the same as the darker color of the chairs. I tried with a similar color and it did nothing for the chairs. I'm looking for a pop of color. I think the pattern in the chairs is what the problem is, nothing seems to go with such a design. Palmimpset, great site, thanks for the link. The color below is more of what I was going for colorwise: http://beautifulpillowsandhome.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=0302&Category_Code=c-34&Product_Count=62 Below is a link to the couhc minus the pillows that are on there http://www.schnadig.com/index.cfm/furniture/catalog.product/sid/3/cid/36/pid/391/start/1/francois-sofa.cfm The pillows that I got with the couch are the burgundy ones below, like the black ones in the link above of the sofa, but a burgundy version. These are the pictures of the pillows I got with the sofa: There are two of these square pillows, and one lumbar http://www.homefurnitureny.com/productimage.php?product_id=922&current_image=4 http://www.homefurnitureny.com/productimage.php?product_id=922&current_image=4 And lumbar pillow like this http://www.homefurnitureny.com/productimage.php?product_id=922&current_image=4...See MoreHelp! Comments (7)If and when you do purchase a new rug, please go for a much larger size, so that all your furniture is sitting on it. That instantly makes your room look larger and more comfortable. A large floral pattern actually looks great with your furniture. The size of your chairs is perfect with your couch, and I'm afraid a recliner might be too large and bulky. The best option might be to recover the chair in navy and find a larger rug. I hope you'll consider a large floral pattern and darker colors again because that works well with your floor and showcases your beautiful couch and the yellow pillows....See Moretinam61
