Tinam61 - when you say using down and a larger insert makes such a difference in how the pillow looks, what exactly do you mean? When I think of down pillows, I think of squishy pillows not holding their shape, but maybe it would be different if the insert were a bigger size than the cover. I've only ordered inserts from Pottery Barn. Is there a better place to get them? The lady on the etsy site is going to mail me a sample of the fabric, so I think that will really help to see it in person.

Thank you all for the feedback. I appreciate the frank replies. The bottom of the beam is at 7.5 feet from the ground and the top of the ceiling is 10 feet. We had a 24" single hanging fixture with 6 or so lights and individual shades. DH hated it and was always knocking a shade down. I hadn't really thought about no light, will consider. Annie - track lighting would be fun, but the current ceiling is nothing to write home about / much less highlight. crl_ here's the one from rejuvenation - I like it better than a lot I have posted. My style is more transitional in other rooms - was also thinking about a rectangular shape like this, not that this works at all: lizbeth-gardener - there isn't enough room for an end table to the right of the green sofa, but there is room for a small table between the two sofas. That's an idea....

The navy is growing on me...I have nothing blue in my house all very brownish tan colors with lots of green.....I didn't want to have such a color shock with the blue but I feel it could be warm. Would you do stick with light wood color blinds or tan Curtains/tan blinds? Also what color pictures, would you throw in red?
