Paging Dr. Benjamin Moore Code Blue: Wallet Trauma!

Patient has searched obsessively (3 months, 9 samples) for PERFECT soft deepish caramelly tan. Gave up and chose AFFINITY TUMERIC.

Shop mixed 2160-20 TURMERIC (Or as I refer to it "Tumour-ICK!Note the extra "r" in the name) These are NOT the same color.
Patient: (insert bad Swartzenneger impression) "Eets nad a Tumeric!"

Paint Mixer: (Insert bad Star Trek Dr McCoy impression: "I'm a hardware store owner, Jim! Not a Paint Guru! And Give me $65 or my wife will flunk your kid!

Oh, the joys of small town life!

My point--and I do have one--can anyone help me resussitate this paint so it doesn't wind up in the landfill and me in the poor house?I'd like to tweak it in a lighter, softer, beiger direction. I know Affinity Tumeric isn't possible, but anything better than Pumpkin Carrot baby, uh, food would be an improvement. What d'ya think? Should I add white paint? Some Decatur Buff? I have lots of samples I could use, lol!
I've attached a shot of the Tumour-ick on my wall so you can comprehend the serousness of this case!
