Can you elaborate a bit? Are your mirrors the same shape but have absolutely no trim right now, or do they have some kind of trim? How are the currently held to the wall? (Clips?)

Sorry, I wrote a whole post and my computer froze and I lost it. So, I won't write the whole thing again, but here was my top idea:

I would probably use a piece of thin sheet metal, such as metal flashing, and actually cut out the shapes between the "trim," leaving one piece in the shape of the trim you want. I'd spray paint that black, and fit it over the mirror. If you are careful, you can also (with pliers) turn down the edges of the sheet metal to fit over the edge of the glass. Otherwise, you could separately cut out a strip to apply to the edge. You may also be able to find a thin plastic panel and perform the same surgery to it to get "trim" for the mirror.

Other cheapo easy ideas (which won't look great) are to use black electrical taoe (hee hee) or create a stencil and spray paint on the "trim" (hee hee.)

If you wanted straight trim, you'd have lots of options with very narrow strips of flat wooden trim. It would be more difficult to apply anything like that to curves, though - particularly to that interior "arch" in the top of the mirror (as opposed to the outer arch of the edge of the mirror.) Any straight trim you apply, even if it is highly flexible, is going to want to spring back into its straight position. You can clamp the outer part, but it would be harder to get the interior arch trim positioned just so, and then keep it perfectly in place while it's drying.

You MIGHT be able to find stock trim already in that exact curve, but I think that's unlikely. You might also just walk the aisles of Home Depot or Lowes to see what jumps out at you - plastic weather stripping, flat wiring, etc., all can be used for other purposes and you might find something that would work.

Electrical TAPE, that is, not taoe. I was kidding about that anyway.

Sorry to hog all the responses - I thought of something else. Instead of gluing something to the mirror itself, you may separately create the trim (like a window frame) and then fit that over your mirror, without adhering it to the mirror. (Hold it in place with tacks in behind, like a picture in a picture frame.) If you have a jig saw, you easily saw out each curved piece you need, and fit it all together, gluing each piece. That way you COULD clamp it as it's drying. Then when you have that frame done, you'd fit it over the mirror. Jig saws are not very expensive to buy.

What about just buying window mullens and spray painting them black and putting it over your mirror. I do not know how you would do the top curves though.

I can't respond because I have no idea what you're trying to make that PB mirror out of. Can you post the mirror(s) you are trying to work with? WHen you say similar in shape - are they arched? Square? Rectangular? Circular? Are you just trying to create a grid effect? Are you wanting to combine all three mirrors into 1 giant one, or keep 3 separate ones?

Need for info.....

Prehaps some sort of flexible moulding product/trim would work for the curved part? With standard straight lengths for the mullions?

Be sure to paint the side that goes against the mirror black, as the back will reflect.

Maybe 'google' mirror mullions?

Sorry for not being more detailed, but I usually "overdo" it in that area. I was trying not to get too lengthy and put people to sleep right off the bat. HA!

I found a picture...not the best, but I think you can see what I'm talking about. The mirror in the middle is a little taller then the two on each side. That's why in this pic you can't see the top of it. Hopefully you can see that they are an oval shape like the PB one. I can't take them down because I asuume they have been there forever as this lake house was built in 1952. If I take them down, the knotty pine areas behind them would be much lighter then the surrounding wood. Soooooooo, I thought I would work with what I have and put the Pottery Barn spin on them. Just don't know what to use to achieve the look. One more thing, the two mirrors on either end butt up to molding and the wall, so I think whatever material I use would need to be gluable. I'm lovin that word.

Come on you great GW minds out there! There must be an easy solution.

Why do you assume that those mirrors have been up ever since the house was built? And if they have been, and the pine around them is faded, you could still replace them with something else. Frankly, I think they are positioned somewhat oddly, in not being centered on each wall, and I would at the very least reposition them.

You'll take them down to work on them, right? (You're not saying you have to work on them in place, right?) There are all sorts of gluable (that's the right spelling) things, but there is just the matter of creating the curvature in the trim. Like I said, unless you can find some sort of trim that is already curved, and you're attempting to glue it directly to the mirror, you're going to have the problem of holding the curve in place while it's drying, and it's going to want to spring back to its original straight shape. That's why I suggested cutting "trim" out of sheet metal or plastic panelling, or jigging out the various elements of the trim and fitting it all together. Or, if you do use flexible plastic trim, form the entire "frame" before fitting it the mirror. I mean, lay all the elements on a flat surface, bend where needed, add in straight parts where needed, glue it all together, clamping as needed, and then when it's all dry, glue the whole thing to the mirror.

Again, though, I would remove those mirrors from the wall prior to doing the work. And even if there is some fading on the wall, I'd probably put the mirrors back up more centered than they are now. Don't do a half-a$$ed job just because you assume the wall has faded and don't want to move the mirrors. (Sorry to be so blunt!)

Whoops, ha ha, I was thinking the center mirror was a doorway, so I referred to "walls" not "wall"! I should have said that I thought the two side mirrors were positioned oddly, in not being centered between the side of the wall, and the edge of the center mirror.

Below is a supplier of flexible molding. You could do the edges in the flexible molding, then for the mullions use the composite trim that can be found in HD or Lowes. It measures about 1/2" wide and less than 1/8" thick. It can be painted and it's easy to cut with a utility knife.
I would first ask the hardware stores if they stock any flexble trim before ordering. Please price check other suppliers since I just grabbed the first web site I saw!

Are the mirrors oval at both ends and are they all the same height? Like lizzie, I would recenter them and not worry about the difference in wood color. Oil the wood where the mirrors were and wait for sunlight to do it's thing!

Hey everyone. Thanks for the help so far. I'm going to REread some of these ideas cause one or two went right over my head.

Also, after I posted my pic, I went back and tried to resize it and I obviously now have it all screwed up. Can't figure out how to "unscrew" it. I'm going to get my hubby to take a good pic of the mirrors with the camera (this other one was taken with a cell phone and is blurry) so you can see clearly what I'm talking about with these mirrors. Please hang with me...I'll be back soon with more and better pictures.
