I think I like the last one because you already have dark floors, 2 dark brown couches and a dark end table. But, I do think a rectangular table in front of the beige loveseat would look better and fill in the space more.

All three are very similar to your old coffee table, round and glass topped. IMO if I were going to change it I would go for something altogether different. Maybe a large square cocktail ottoman that can also serve as seating if needed.

Out of the three you posted I like the first one the best because of the curved legs and the darker color.

You might consider adjusting the position of your 3 sofas. The 2 matching seating pieces in brown should work together and the coffee table you select should at least be within an arms reach when you are sitting on the sofas. I suggest you position the brown sofa in front of the window instead of the beige loveseat. See 2 alternate layouts I have attached.

The scale of your sofas are fairly large and the tables you select as an end table or coffee table, should be large enough to provide enough top surface to be useful in holding drinks, lamps and accessories. I don't suggest you go with any glass tables.

#1 is almost the same in size and shape of the table you already have, though the finish is different. It's no wonder you like it.

#3 is too slight in scale to compete with the size of your various sofas and loveseats.

I've included a selection of various style coffee tables that would be successful additions to your family room. All are from Ashley Furniture except the last selection.

I noticed in one of your pictures there was a lap top computer on the floor. You might consider a lift top coffee table illustrated as the last selection in this grouping. of coffee tables. This feature would provide an additional work surface for someone using their computer in the family room. In addition, this table has concealed casters that allow it to be rolled where it's needed. Just a thought.

I like the style of 1, but the color of 2. I also agree about getting a large rectangle table. Our coffee table is probably the most functional piece of furniture in our LR.

Answering this strictly on my automatic reaction--- I like the first one you posted, and also the first one beverly posted.

I'm liking that first one that I posted more and more. The current table is a temporary one to begin with, to get a sense of how it would look, it is in a bad shape with some marks and cracks.

Some one in the past suggested that since every thing else in the room is rectangularish going for a round table will bring everything together.

The concept of adding something round or curved to a room doesn't itself
"bring everything together". It is an often misquoted concept of Feng shui & a long used element of good design.

Adding some round or curved elements to a room, filled with rectangular objects, provides visual interest and relief from the 90 degree angles. I agree that the room could use some relief from the angles, but not at the expense of function. In the current picture of your room, no one can sit on a sofa and reach your coffee table to use it.

In an effort to introduce the curved element, I suggested replacing your light loveseat with 2 barrel chairs, round accent tables and a rug with more curved design elements....... but the coffee table is once again rectangular so it can be reached by those seated on either the brown sofa or the brown loveseat.

I have a large square coffee table also and concur that it is the most used piece in the living room. It is within easy reach of the sofa and loveseat. If your table is too far away from the seating areas it won't be used.

I love cocktail ottomans because they can be used as a table or as extra seating and also adds some pattern to a room.
