Pre-teen bedroom help
Comments (13)ideefixe thank you for steering me to Delias.com. DD loved the "Starstruck" set. She has decided on turquoise/agua paint and if she really wants the whole room that color, I can live with it. But I'm still going to try for one wall and the rest a lighter shade. Anyways, the only problem. Everything in the set is sold out! It won't be available till Feb for most things. If they don't charge your account till then, I'm okay... but I can't pay for it now and not get it till then. X-mas is right around the corner and if the set doesn't come till Feb - it'll be a b-day present. Now, I'm on the look out for lighting. I really want something like returnqueen has in her DD's room. Actually that would be perfect. I think my Lowes/Home Depot has one. Maybe she can get that now. Thanks for the help girls Here is a link that might be useful: Starstruck...See MoreWhat color accent chairs for my teens bedroom?
Comments (82)Yayagal, you literally just made my day. Thank you so much for your sweet words! I’m trying to decorate our new home and have been so overwhelmed every step of the way. It’s so stressful!!!! I really appreciate you taking the time to write that. She loved the room! And her friends love hanging out in it too! It makes my heart happy! Have a great day!...See MoreLittle Girl Unicorn Bedroom
Comments (25)Wow! I'm thankful/saddened by the comments received. Yes, my daughter is 5 and her whole world is nothing but unicorns/ponies. To be clear, when I asked her what SHE wanted for her birthday, she asked for a unicorn bedroom. I showed her several wallpapers and murals and SHE picked out the one I purchased. For those suggesting white, I'm thinking that you don't hang around little kids that much White will last in her room for 1 day... and as she would say boring. As for the nod to the younger kid unicorn theme - I wish! Everything resembling the "younger" theme she has turned her nose up at. (Perhaps she has the more "sophisticated" taste because she is the baby in the family. In regards to the mural itself. Personally, I love wallpaper (of any kind). In moderation and I bet the amount of money I spent on it is no different in cost then the paint/ pictures/decor/furniture someone would have to pay to decorate that space. Again, I appreciate everyone who responded with kind words....See MoreSpare bedroom to Girl Nursery
Comments (26)Eddy are you saying the bed is going now and it will be a nursery? SW Intimate white is a beautiful blush color. First and foremost before painting any type of pink I would make sure you like it near your wood trim. Pink with that tone of wood is not ideal. Have you considered painting your trim white? Also if you keep the bed I wouldnt paint it gold. The lines of the bed are not classic and TBH dated so I wouldnt invest time or money into it. If you still want a bed in the room I would consider a day bed with a trundle. That will be your least costly and most versatile option. Then once your daughter is old enough it could become her big girl bed. Here are some that would be beautiful in your space based off your inspiration photo These could work for guests, parents that want to sleep in room with baby on occasion as well and transition into her bed once she is ready....See Moresjhockeyfan325
