Looking for green paint for little girl's room

I have seen beautiful rooms painted a bright green with white wainscotting. There are sooo many bright green paints though. I definitely don't want neon. Accessories will be shades of pink and purple. Anyone have a name that might be helpful? I have access to Home Depot and Lowes. Thank You.

I painted my twin girls' room BM Country Green.

This is BM Kittery Point Green. The trim here is off-white, this color would look much better with true white trim.

I'm looking for Shabby Chic girls rooms too. I'm looking for more of the stuff that I see directly from Rachel Ashwell's books. No bright anywhere. Totally different direction than what I was planning originally but yesterday I painted her wall color and when I stepped back it just whispered super simple, shabby chic so now the hunt is on! This will be the 3rd set of bedding that I am taking back now. I've been pouring over my RA Shabby Chic books & just orderd her new one. The paint I chose is SW Conservative Gray. Trim was already bright white. I'm going to do white washable bedding from Target w/ blush colored sheets w/ ruffles and will try to pick that up in some pillows. So far window treatments I'm leaning towards are simple white IKEA roman shades. I'm painting her bureau and side table the palest blush. I'm thinking about throwing up some picture framing on the walls too. I saw a great alphabet project on Sara's House where they cut out letters from scrap MDF in all differnt fonts and placed them on a plate rail around the room. I showed it to DH and he is going to see if any of his business acquantainces through work have a C&C router to cut out the letters for me and then I am going to glitter them in shades of antique gold and blush. It'll be a bit until I have pictures but I'm getting ready to go back up and work plus I also need to wait for Rachels new book to arrive to get more ideas. It literally fell together in my head in about 15 minuttttes last night. It was my Ah Hah moment when I stepped back and looked at the finished wall.

With my children I've found that they tend to focus on wanting a particular wall color, but have difficulty envisioning the entire look and how one choice (bedding) impacts another (wall color). What has worked for me is to show them pictures until we choose an inspiration room. Pottery Barn Kids and Teen are a great source and they even list their wall colors on the website. I did a black&white & turquoise room for my older DD about 4-years ago and it still works. It's a classic look as is B&W & pink. I agree you can go many different ways with it; a Parisian theme or fun and bold. I try to work in the bolder colors with easy to change accents like pillows, etc. My DD turned 18 yesterday and has the B&W dotted bedding; but a friend of mine used that same bedding for her then 9-year-old and paired it up with pink walls and fluffy pink pillows. If you put the black in the bedding then your DD may agree to not doing the black accent wall (which I would try to discourage). If you have hardwood floors, then a fun and colorful rug is another place to bring in color. If your DD wants more black in her room, add in decorative black frames. Show her how to use black accents without painting the wall black.

Because her room appears to be on the smaller side, I am not sure I would do something that hangs. I think this one would be wonderful as a ceiling light, lots of sparkle! antique white french garden light I would be sure to have the light on a dimmer, so you don't get that awful overhead glare when it is being used, but get a warm, sparkly effect. Then I would add a couple of these on the wall by her headboard for use most of the time, for reading or playing on the bed, etc. antique white wall lamp These are plug-in style, so no hard-wiring required. There is also a larger swing-arm style that is similar, but I think two of these would be charming.

Yellow Paint help needed for little girls room.

I got sick of my own indecision and after trying about seven different yellow samples I decided I just needed to paint the room. I couldn't tell one thing from another because of the yellow background so I just picked the one that was closest to what I wanted and I'm hoping for the best. At this point, repainting will be cheaper than buying more samples :-) I will make sure to show better after pictures once I finished.

I used Home Depot Behr Disney Paints for my DD's room. Hers is a combination of Sleeping Beauty Pink and Tinkerbell, though the green looked a bit washed out next to the pink so I had them darken it.

Thank you all for responding and posting pictures. I absolutely love the green and white together, it looks so crisp and fresh. I really like the look with black/brown accessories also. Momtotwins their room is precious, that's what I'm talking about. We don't have a BM store here so I'll have to check out the Disney colors at HD, it never entered my mind while I was there. Tinkerbell was my inspiration. Thank you all again.

I just did SW Glee this weekend in my daughter's room and LOVE IT. Not mint, not neon - just really crisp - reminds me of an apple ...we just loved it and I shopped for many greens!!

SW Celery is an awesome green & very simular to momoftwins pic shown above. I have it in my downstairs guest bathroom and love it. I had it color matched at HD for behr paints. I don't have a pic because the room is hard to photo because of it's size and lighting.

The light is not the best in this pic, but here is a pic with the slightly deeper shade of Tinkerbell:

The color by itself is just fine. The only reason I felt the need to deepen the color is the hue is deeper on the Sleeping Beauty pink which made the green only pale by comparision. By itself, I think it will give you the effect you are seeking.

My daughter's room is painted Margarita from Lowe's. Its the perfect bright shade of light green. When we moved into our house I looked at other greens and couldn't find one that worked as well so I found the paint can from our old house and went back to Lowe's to get the same color again.

Thank you all. You all have reduced my stress level and actually have made choosing a green paint more fun, sort of like a treasure hunt. We do have a SW store so I'll check out those colors there. You all
have narrowed it down to just a handful to choose from which I'm forever greatful. I am not even considering any other colors. I'll check back later to let you all know what the winner is. Have a great day!
