Comments (49)So you are saying that the auto shutoff of which you and the others on this thread are talking about is the feature whereby a hob with a pot on it and the heat turned on will shut itself off after a prescribed period of time at a specific heat level? And it does so when it reaches, say,ten hours? Or eleven? Yes, we are saying that. Because we downloaded and read the manual for the Bosch induction cooktop, and that's what it said. And you dismiss my definition where the hob shuts off simply because it is empty of a pot? You donot consider my scenario as a or the true definitation of auto shutoff? I look forward to simple answers. Nobody is dismissing your definition. As Chanop said, you are correct as well. When you pull the pan off the burner, it will shut off. This is true of all induction cooktops. However, some induction cooktops will automatically shut off after a certain amount of time with a burner on, and a pan present, without anybody touching the controls. This is not voodoo. None of us are guessing or speculating about how the auto shut off works. All of this information is laid out clear as day in the manual, freely available online....See MoreNeed to make dishwasher decision quickly - please help!
Comments (11)Try and fix your Old KA!! If you were OK with the noise level of your old KA, and happy with the way it cleaned, you will never be happy with anything currently available. My previous KA had a garborator and washed Really hot. Barely picked off the bones, never rinsed and always squeaky clean without using rinse aid. No filter to clean. my sister in law still has same model and I have told her to never let it go. Since the KA I have had a new Bosh and now a Miele 2 rack with cutlery basket. Both require dishes pre wiped as there is no garborator, rinse aid is a must as they don't have heating elements and the cycles are super long. But they are quieter. Bosh or Miele? Buy whichever brand will give you the best warranty. We got an everything included 5 year warranty as a promo on the Miele As for getting a new KA. I don't know. Replaced my old KA bottom freezer fridge with pretty much the same model. But it feels so cheap commpared to the Old KA even though it is the same layout. Rollers and baskets rattle and I can not get the door to look level. Very disappointed but few refrigerators are the right dimensions so I am stuck. Yes all the North American models are all the same company and it it looks like they are all poor quality....See MoreHelp Me Make A Decision, Please
Comments (48)As someone who has always had a lot of pets I completely get where you are coming from. I've never really taken in sick pets but have had pets that got sick for different reasons. Between 2012-2015 we lost my father in law and 6 pets. 3 of them were ferrets which have a lot of health problems, 2 were cats that were both 15 and one was a young cat. I totally get it. You love animals but the thought of losing another one is just too much. I hate the sound of my phone ringing now because I'm always waiting for bad news on the other line. If one of my pets even looks at me funny I think what's wrong are they ok?? It's a lot for the nerves, heart and brain to handle. My house is full of pets and they are healthy but I worry about them all the time because I love them so much and was kind of caught off guard when the other ones passed. I just worry I'm going to miss something I should have caught. You do need to take a break. If you feel that strongly that you want to say no to something you feel so strongly and compassionately about then you need a break. And your husband needs to understand that. Explain to the shelter the situation and why you're saying no and I'm sure they'll understand. Please don't feel guilt for saying no. You deserve a break and some love too and maybe one day you'll want to try again when you've healed. Like others have said maybe look into a healthy adult cat to keep you and your husband company....See Moremarthastoo
