Comments (9)sfhellwig, I hope your Maurelii is doing better now. My Abyssinian suffered a bad fall when it rolled off into the street from the trunk of my car. I thought it wasn't going to make it. The trunk was a little crashed and the couple of leaves it had looked limpy. That was a couple of months back. Now I've transplanted it to the ground, it's really picking up speed. I took some of its pictures, but I left the camera in the rain a couple of nights ago. The camera is now behaving very strangely I'm not able to take any more pictures and I don't now if I will lose this camera now. In any case, I think your Maurelii will come around when it's time for it to grow again. As in my case, I left the leaves on the plant even though they looked kind of beaten up. Certainly hope yours come around for you soon....See MoreWhat to do with broken washer?
Comments (5)Thanks all for the reply. We decided to order a new Speed Queen, 542 top load washer. Will be arriving in a week. The LG has error code Ue (NOT UE, which is unbalanced load). Apparently Ue means there is something wrong with the motor system. could be simple, or could be the rotor like last time, either way, just to diagnose, places want over $100 to come out to see what's wrong, then more on top of that to fix it... cold weather is evil- I laughed at your post. Unfortunately, our driveway is extremely steep and there is no way we could move our washer down the driveway safely to put a "free" sign on it. We also live on a street with little traffic, I doubt my neighbors would be interested in a free, broken washer... The Speed Queen dealer is going to have our broken LG washer removed for a small fee. I asked what will happen to it- I don't want it to end up in the landfill. She assured me it won't end up there- it will either be sent to recycling, or will be used for parts. I don't care either way, I just don't want it to end up in the landfill... Thanks everyone! I love this forum!...See MoreWhat router for planing top of board?
Comments (9)For what you are doing a mortising bit will work. It's goig to take time but you will get there. If you a low power router and don't plan doing much mortising and other heavy work here's a way to pull this off with a HSS bit. Use the small diameter bit for removing alot of wood while leaving 1/8th" to 3/8ths between cuts. A small hp router is capiable of that for a long period without overheating. Now install mortise bit and don't push it faster than router can handle without bogging. Wear full face and arm protection against large chips flying off bit. Scraping will usually clean up after you are finished with mortising bit. As others pointed out, asking a 1/4tr" shaft to handle a planer bit is hit or miss. If it doesn't fitiuge and break, whip in shank will make edge of planer dip and rise. If you know how( or have a friend) to sharpen, tune and set a hand plane, you will be ahead in useing a nice long one that shouldn't cost much more used than a router bit....See Morehoosierdoc
