I personally like the first color better, the aqua, but why not let your daughter decide?
However, I honestly would not spend 150.00 for a duvet cover for a child but rather get two or three less expensive ones.

My girls are only 3 1/2 years old which is why I'm choosing for them. :) I want something they can grow into so I don't have to redo their room in a year or 2. I agree about the color. I really like BM iced green, but I think I like the pottery barn cover better but it won't go with the iced green. So, I'm torn....

I think you have to ask yourself what is likely to last longer, the wall cover or the duvet covers. I don't know about your little girls, but with my kids, nose bleeds, throw-up, crayons, etc., as well as changing interests (horses, fairies, bunnies, polka dots, and flannel/sateen) would have meant that the duvet covers would have had a shorter shelf life than the wall color. I also would not have spent 300.00 plus on bedding under those conditions, so the wall color would have been most important.

If, however, the bedding is the more important investment, money-and time-wise, then you should pick the one you like the most and take the wall color from there.

It's also really easy to make duvet covers yourself from twin sheets, either with velcro or a folded over 'pocket.' So, you could make several sets.

Thank you nosoccermom! The main reason I chose the room I did was because the person who did it gave me everything I needed to know for how to put it together! She said where to buy everything and even gave me the paint color! I simply can't decorate so this was so easy! I loved the room too though. You have some excellent recommendations. What do you think about this combination?

I think the three choices that you are looking at above would be very nice together.
Love both the Ikea duvet cover and tree for wall.
I think that Ikea cover is much more practical considering your childs age.

I like the first duvet but wanted to point out that when I have tried duvets on my daughter's bed they never look as nice as the pictures do. The comforter always bunches at the bottom and does not stay tied to the corners. Every morning required shaking of the duvet to get it smooth. I have only tried PB duvets so maybe other brands work better. I gave up on the duvet and switched to a quilt.

I've seen the PB Bailey in person and it's beautiful!

Re on the duvet: I totally agree w/ cscow - I also switched to quilts for my kids. Any duvet I tried was a total PIA.

Easily fixed though if you sew a loop and button get up inside the duvet and duvet insert and some duvets already come that way.

I do agree about duvet cover being a total PIA! I've used them on my own bed for years. I just haven't found a quilt that I like for my girls though. I was only considering a quilt at first but when I couldn't find one I started looking at duvet covers too. I think the pottery barn one said that it had the loop thing in it already.

I have 2 boys and 1 girl, and all of them have had their PB Quilts for over 5 years and they have held up beautifully through wash after wash after wash. We have one highlighter stain from my now 13 year old, and that is it!

It is about time for more "grown up" rooms, and PB Teen it will be. I am happy to spend good money when the wear is so long and wonderful! I like the first one, btw!

Aggierose - what I ended up doing for my DD's room (almost 4yrs old) was use a patterend duvet cover (she has PB Bateau Toile) w/ insert folded in 1/3's at the bottom of her bed and a white quilt (keeping my eyes open for a petal pink quilt too) as the main cover.

Thank you everyone for your opinions! I have made a final decision. Like finz2left, I don't mind spending money on something that will last and I've always heard PB is great. But, my issue right now is that my 3 year olds are triplets and they insist on sharing a bed. I'm worried if I spend a ton on their full size bedding now that they will very soon tell me that they want their own beds and I'll have to buy all new stuff. So, I went with the one in the link below, which I think they will still like, it will go with the room, and it doesn't cost an absolute fortune. It wasn't my favorite, but it was my favorite for the price. Thanks again for all the help! I'm excited to see the room put together! I've already ordered it so I can't change my mind anymore! lol! I hope to find pottery barn quilts that I like once they get into their own beds.
