What Size of baseboard window and door trim

Karenseb

Our house was built in the 60's and has a mid century feel. Previous owners replaced the windows and sliding doors and added 3.25 in wide door trim around some windows and doors to cover gaps. The original baseboard and window trim was much narrower, maybe 2.5 in. So in some rooms, the trim around windows are much wider than the sliding door in that same room.
We are in the process of restoring the home, but are unsure how to handle the trim.
What size would look best for door, windows and baseboard.

We will have to keep with at least 3.25 for some windows and doors and it would probably look best to keep all windows and doors the same.
The question then is what size baseboard should we do?
Also do you have any suggestions for profiles?
