Replacing Aluminum Wiring. Is this quote reasonable?

Hi everyone,

I just got a quote from an electrican and I'm wondering if it's fair. He wants to charge me $527 to install new copper (replacing aluminum) 50A 4-wire circuit to the kitchen for the range. The range is currently jerry rigged to a 3-wire circuit. He also wants to charge me $400 to replace another aluminum wire with a 60A rated copper wire from the panel to the air handler in the garage, tie the circuit to the existing disconnect in the garage and delete the old disconnect in the attic. The house is 700 sq feet so the new copper wire couldn't be much longer than that. Does anyone know whether these prices are reasonable? I'd really appreciate some advice.

Thanks!
