heck they are $6.99 at TSC but only a few kinds. what exactly do the seed mfg use? maybe lite weight interfacing? or lt weightmh emb stablizer.? does it dissolve? read about the paper toweling. otherwise I use paper cups upside down over bigger seeds> course bottom cut out. and supported with two or more wooden bbq. skewrers. I buy several packages of them plus they can be reused>..

LindaC, there ARE a lot of recipes out there, from the ones that take vinegar and are like a quick pickle, to the traditional salt-and-vegetable combos that sit on the counter and ferment. Oddly enough, I have a big bucket of sauerkraut working in the back room, and still have cabbage, so I've been planning on making cortido for Elery, he would like the combo of hot peppers and cabbage and fermentation, I think. He does love kimchee and we have that in the fridge, so this would give him another option, plus I have all the ingredients! Thanks for the reminder... Annie

Nope. My life hasn't changed much. I value my personal space anyway so I try to keep my distance from people naturally. And we dont go many places in normal life. We like being home with each other. I do need my roots done and my ends cut, but I keep my hair long anyway so having it longer than normal isnt an annoyance to me. I am looking forward to people being less on edge and less rude in general when the restrictions are lifted. And I am looking forward to being able to buy stuff I need when I need it,not when the hoarders run out of money.

I'm working on veggies now, but I remembered I have a large clay loaf pan that's probably the right size. The recipe only uses the lid for rising (hello tea towel). I want to try it, though I know it won't be as pretty. I make good tasting baked good, but rarely pretty... I had to look up little red hen. How a propos!
