If money were no object, I would love to replace all the furniture with french provencial pieces! But alas, my husband would faint!

Nice paint color on the walls! First off, I'd add drapes - that window is lovely but it looks a bit naked with nothing on it. I'd find a white curtain with a texture/pattern. I'd replace the painting over the bed with something with more color, since the room right now feels a bit monochromatic. I'd also add some more color in throw pillows on the bed. I'd go with lamps with simple, clean lines, since the bed is somewhat ornate.

I'd move the armoire so it is positioned against the wall and also paint it - I'm not loving the current stain.

Have you tried moving the bench in front of the bed? It's hard to tell the scale/size of the bench from the photos.

I would switch out the painting over the bed with the round mirror on the opposite wall. The painting is a bit large for the bed, and takes away a bit of the tranquil feeling.

Add a couple of neckroll or oblong style pillows on either end of the bench to bring some color there. This might work:

I would think the armoire would be wonderful in a warm white, perhaps antiqued with a soft grey. Add glass knobs. Nothing really needed on top, but if you think you do, a cream or white soup tureen or low wide vase filled with blue-green and cream silk or dried hydrangea.

Simple warm white drapery, blackout lined and insulated to keep out the sun and heat.

Can't tell about the nightstands. I could see these lamps in there, picking up the soft shine of the bedding, and all the creams and whites and tans, with touches of greys and blues:

Omg I have that same armoire! Keep us posted on how you paint it, cause functionally I love the thing, visually well it is a bit orangey.

Wow, that wall color does look fabulous! Glad it worked out for you. I'd return the picture to the other room and just keep your eyes open for some art that would be more cohesive with the room. IMHO it better to have a blank wall waiting for that perfect piece than to put something there that doesn't work.

Also, the round mirror is really pretty, but I would center it over the bench and flank it with a picture or wedge shelf on each side to frame it a little.

I don't think you need to replace the armoire, you could paint it black or gel stain it in a dark finish. The only reason it looks out of place is because of it's stain color.

I would add some pillows with some color to offer contrast and interest to the bed. If you do a search on Etsy.com for decorative pillows, the options are endless and the prices are usually pretty good too.

I know what you mean about wanting to pull the space together, it's challenging but you're getting there. I have the same problem, but what I've come to realize is that while re-purposing is a good option it's not always the right one. When it comes to accessories and art, try to slow it down and take your time, eventually you will find the right something to put there.

In regards to the armoire, gel stain. You will love it, you won't believe you never tried it. It's a miracle.

There are lots of instructions on GW on how to do it, particulary celticmoon's instructions are very detailed.

It would look lovely dark, like the bed.

Love the wall color! I second Les' suggestion about putting the mirror over the headboard and love the lamp she suggested, if it's not too large for your nightstands.

I'm sure you just haven't gotten to it yet, but ironing the bedskirt will help, as will washing the sheets to get out the wrinkles.

I agree also on placing the armoire flat against a wall painting it or gel staining it--and trying the bench at the end of the bed. BTW--your headboard's lovely and IMHO looks much better than French provincial would look in there.

I think if you add a couple smaller pillows with a bit of color/pattern as others suggested, I'd remove one of the current white ones.
