Do you have a California King Bed?
Comments (14)We have one and are going to switch to a Standard King. California King bedding is readily available in the West but if you read the fine print the measurements for both Cal King and Regular King bedding are exactly the same except for the fitted bottom sheet. Top sheets and most (not all blankets) are a bit too short for tucking in or a nice drape. So we decided since tall DH sleeps curled up anyway and we don't spend a lot of the same hours bed anyway we will sacrifice a few inches in length for a few extra inches in width. That may give us a better tucked top sheet along with more room for the beasts....See MoreGuest room queen vs. king bed?
Comments (57)I like all of your upholstered choices shown. I think they will work nicely with your desk and do have an elegant feel, although I've always been partial to iron beds. If you're still looking at iron beds I can recommend Charles P Rogers. Great customer service and my daybed is high quality with a beautiful hand painted finish, much like the antique iron bed I have in DD"s room. I had a Wesley Allen and have seen RH beds - all nice but they don't seem to be as heavy and sturdy as my Charles P Rogers bed. Another iron bed company I'm interested in is Brass Beds of Virginia but I haven't seen those in person....See MoreWhat Size Pillow Shams for King Size bed?
Comments (13)@anglophilia, we have a lot of pillows too! I sleep on 2 and DH sleeps on 1-2 and hugs another. Right now my setup is awful, but I usually put 3 standards in back, topped with 2 kings, then 2 standard shams, then 1 accent. DH hates all the pillows, but we I use a king and standard and he uses all standards. It's such a mess to make the bed and look nice. I think with a setup like my mockup photo, I could hide our old smushy standard pillows behind the king shams if needed. Then add king pillows in white pillowcases, then a couple accent pillows. I want to break up the sham and duvet pattern since they are the same....See MoreDo I have room for a king size bed?
Comments (14)The entrance to the room is actually opposite this wall where we have a tv mounted and oddly enough a second door that serves direct to what was once used as a nursery. We will likely close that door up but not thrilled by the idea of having my bed on the same wall as the entrance to the room for some reason, Feng Shui of sorts...See Moreflyingflower
