we're planning this same set-up. I chose the blanco diamond super single because I wanted a single bowl sink with the drain off to the right side. We will also have a disposal and a hot water tap on the right. We planned it this way so we could free up the left side space for a garbage bin under the sink. We are planning for a rev-a-shelf double 35qt system which should fit perfectly. I'm waiting till our granite and sink are in before we do that though. On the other door I'm putting the rev-a-shelf sink base storage unit (holds dish soap, sponges..etc). My sinkbase is going to be jam-packed with stuff and it will hopefully make life easier. I don't have pictures but... In the order of volume generated in our house per day/week 1. Recycle: we use 40qt + garbage can. We do not need to sort for the city. So all paper, glass, cans, plastic go into the recycle. 2. compost: We use 2 large green compost bins. We use bioliners so that they can be composted. one is for the backyard which only has fruit and vegie peels, and one is for the city which has meat and dairy. We scrape the dinner plates into the city compost bin. Most of the restaurants in the city does the same thing. The city picks up everything including used paper towels and pizza boxes in the "food waste" program. 3. garbage/trash: we use a much smaller garbage can, about the size of a grocery bag. if not emptied daily, it smells too much, ie chicken wrappers. So we don't need a large garbage can. I have the large recycle and the small garbage in the same pull out drawer. I have put the smaller garbage over the "shelf rack" so that the garbage is lifted up a little and closer to the top AND I store the garbage bags under the shelf storage rack. I keep the compost bins under the sink pull out. I could not find a system where all 4 boxes could fit in one pullout and NOT take up enormous amount of space so I lose storage. I had to accept that some under sink storage need be used for dealing with complicated garbage and compost. Hope this makes sense. If your city has a "food waste" program, you will find that you have very little trash that goes into landfill and you may need to modify the trash/recycle/compost bin system in your house if you chose to do the city compost.

Chefkev, isn't the door mount a wonderful thing? :) It looks great, I am glad it is working out so well for you. Anita, My pullout is floor mounted, and I do think most if not all can have a door mount kit added. The door mount just provides a convenient way of pulling out a side or floor mounted unit. By the way, for those who think they can't fit a pullout under the sink, the double trash pullouts with a floor rather than side mount can actually work more easily in some space challenged sink bases than the single trash pullouts. The reason is that the GD and plumbing take up room, and most single pullouts turn the trash can so it has to go deeper into the sink base and there is often not enough room in a smaller sink base without the trash can hitting on the GD or plumbing, and preventing it from closing fully. The double pullouts turn the trash so that they can fit one behind the other. By purchasing one of those, you can remove the second can and slide the back of the pullout UNDER the GD and plumbing, and the front trash can is at the front of the cabinet and in front of the GD and plumbing. By getting a smaller double, you should be able to find one that will fit within most door openings as well. The biggest problem is that the needed measurements are not usually provided by the manufacturer for that type of installation so a small risk may need to be taken. Measuring from the lowest part of the plumbing/GD to the floor of the sink cabinet will tell you how much space you have to slide the back of the pullout into. Asking people here who have different pullouts to measure how high that part of the pullout is will tell you if a particular model will work, or anyone could call someone who sells it and has it in hand and ask if they will obtain the needed measurements for them. Just a tip for those with small kitchens who would like to try to fit in a couple of the conveniences that the big kitchen crowd get to play with. :) I hope you don't mind my using your thread to share it, chefkev. MaWizz - I'm betting, especially if you go for an offset drain (I love mine) your disposal could be on the side of the sink that the trash/recycling pullout is not. yes thats what i.m thinking to by the pics you all are posting. yeah i'm thinking i might like that alot based on the fact that it is my one and only sink. i can leave dirty dishes to one side and still have drain open on other to rinse veggies, drain pasta, etc. is yours a 30" sink then since you have a 30" cabinet? pretty space...nice job! looks very inviting and comfortable. thx for sharing pics!
