Thanks for all the time you've taken to post on my thread as well as all the suggestions, recommendations, and advice you've given. I don't mind attaching the lights onto some sort of fixture like you described. However is it necessary to screw whatever is holding the lights (the fixtures) directly into the shelves? Or can you just set the lights (attached to the fixtures they'll be used with) onto the shelves? I don't mind if I have to attach them to the shelves, but do I have to hang them from the ceiling? Unfortunately doing so from the ceiling really isn't an option. I can attach the fixtures the lights will be on in various other ways, but putting them into the ceiling isn't an option. Are there any alternatives besides hanging the fixture the lights will be on? Do the lights have hung or can they be attached using some other method? Also with the 2nd and 3rd tiers how would I attach the fixtures the lights would go on? Would they just be attached to the shelves?

Sounds like what you want is wood. We have installed our own, it is fairly easy and you can rent the tools to make it simple. I even finished ours and it turned out great. If money is the issue, many places have lower grades. For our Sunroom/gameroom and backdoor entry room we used a lower grade of oak flooring because I wanted it to appear a little older, I wanted character and I liked how it looked, not so perfectly matchy matchy with color and grain. I surprisingly got many wonderful grain variations, some birds eye, some burled- just really beautiful. I think we paid 99 cents a sq ft. We bought extra because we knew we would have some that were not satisfactory but the flooring cost very little, mainly it was just time and labor.

a photo from last summer: We have these, from Smith+Noble, with a blackout liner (these windows face due south). On the middle window we have the continuous loop and love that feature! I would've done it on the two flanking windows only they're too narrow to qualify for that feature (S+N only offers it for windows over a certain width). I don't think I have a photo, but in our penultimate house we had a window just a hair under 11' wide, and there we also had a Smith+Noble woven roman shade with blackout liner and continuous loop, and S+N was able to make it as one shade (not two or three on a header). But I just have to say I wish wish wish I'd found this site with all these incredible insights earlier, before I ever did any projects! Those cordless blinds sound fascinating ....

Hmm, I see them "showing their feet" now (common in some paniculatas) but in this case, that is because the plants are young. In time, the stems should lengthen and bend down due to the weight of (new) blooms and due to the weight of tons of more stems on top of the existing stems. So eventually, more time/growth and the bloom's weight would help "cover their feet".
