I own two silk (all silk) rugs I bought when travelling in Turkey. I bought them whilst with a colleague who grew up there, and who took me "where his Mom shopped". Mom was doing okay, it seems. : ) This was a very high end shop, and I had thought id get some great bargain. I fell in love with a small silk prayer rug that was way over what I'd planned to spend. I agonized and decided to splurge. Then, I also bought a larger, 8X10 rug, too... The credit card slip could not fit all of the digits, because the exchange rate was 240,000 turkish Lira to the dollar, so the transaction was in the billions of Lira. Crazy. At any rate, I was told it was best to hang them up and NOT use them on the floor. So, of course, I used one in my entry hall for several years, and the little one I now have in front of my pedestal tub. I have had no issue getting them cleaned, but have done so only twice for the large one, and never for the small one (more on that in a bit). A tipsy guest spilled red wine on the large rug once, and it came out. One of my kids tipped over their bottle another time, and, that stain did not come out 100%. You can see it in certain light. Recently there was a mysterious leak in my BA and my small silk rug was drenched through. I was on my way out the door for a school trip w one of the kids, so I asked DH to try to address it. This rug is one of my fave posessions so I was so distraught. I was so delighted when I came home and it was in place, perfect, looking especially clean and new. I was so delighted with DH! I asked him how he did it. "I hung it up, it dried". The same leak occurred a few weeks later. The rug once again was fine once it dried. Short answer: get it, enjoy it, be a little careful. PS Make sure everyone puts the "telephone" back the right way on tub hardware. The cleaning person would use the hand sprayer to rinse the tub, and replace it horizontally, causing it to drip onto the floor.

Thanks, Les, for all your comments and advice. I know I need to calm down. And you're right. I'm not striving for perfection; I want it comfortable and welcoming--but I also don't want to make a mistake that is avoidable. We do have ottoman overload, but we were dealing with a small room with very little wall space, and we wanted to be able to have four people camped out (and horizontal) for family TV viewing. And thus all the ottomans, which all do get used. As for tables, the striped ottoman doubles as a coffee table for drinks, etc. There is a table between the two dragonfly chair, and one next to the leather chair. I'm looking for a small one for the fireplace-end of the couch. We can't have one closer to the blue chairs because I want a walking space there. Lighting is tricky because of where the outlets are located. There is a lamp for the leather chair (not pictured), but the rest of the lighting is in the ceiling. It works so far but maybe we should re-think that, too. I had seen the firenze pillow in person but can't remember why it didn't work. I'm toying with having pillows made from the striped fabric, or the dragonfly fabric because I really would like more blue near the fireplace. Thanks for your comments Hoosier and Busy. Bumping this up because I am now confused. I was set on the 95 till I saw it discontinued. My wants are the heater, allergen and sanitize. I think from reading I don't want tier 3 because of low water? I have a husband allergic to dust mites and two young kids who make a mess of their school uniform shirts! nice to have would be the rinse cycle and the load and go. The 87 model mentioned above is on sale at HD by me. I could just go with that, but is there something better with enough water that replaced the 95? one other question I dont' see the 87 model listed on this site. should I worry about that? NSF thank you - and I can start another thread if that is better. :) oh and I do not want an LG, that is pretty much my only requirement. I have an LG set now and am not sad that we are leaving it behind when we move in a couple of weeks :)

It looks lovely. I think the large graphics (of whatever kind you choose) will really finish it off. Did you look at the links for teal drapes I added above? I get that it's insanely difficult to read color on monitors, but one of them looked promising to me.
