Forgot to mention,the LR and kitchen is west facing so plenty of natural light,in fact there r windows and patio door on the west side...so lots of light.thanks in advance for all the help.

sanketi, I might be able to help a bit later. I tried yesterday but something screwy is going on with my computer and I couldn't get your picture to save.

I'm not usually a fan of accent walls but I will try out some things. My first thought was that I didn't think your sofa and chair went with the chocolate and red theme but maybe it's just the angle of the photo. ???

I think I would like to see one color in that room but not sure which shade would bring it all together. I do like that Bamboo color in the entry. Would it be too boring for you to use it in the LR too?? Just rambling this morning! ;c)

the furniture is not staying..deep tan leather couch and loveseat will be taking its place..so i agree that the present furniture does not go with the chocolate color.also the first room with red wall also does not have any furniture ,just a couple of ottomans..we just moved and making do with what we already have. I might slipcover the present sofa and chair with a tan color slipcover.
Do you think i should stick with the bamboo color and not introduce another color...am not so sure the bamboo would go with my maple cabinets in my kitchen which is at the other end of the living room ....am confused..!

Okay, changing your furniture is pretty important in trying to decide on a paint color. I think the Bamboo would have gone fine with your cabinets (your floors are maple too, right?) But I don't think it works if you're going to get a tan leather sofa. Do you already have one picked out that we could see how dark it is?? I think you should find your furniture first, then try out color samples next to it.

Thanks anyway for all your help and suggestions...I think i shall pick the furniture first as you suggested..although we were anyway thinkng of going with a dark leather couch,,deep brown,or,black..so i was hoping a brown focal wall with bamboo or a light gold or sage coordinating walls would be fine...anyay i think i shall get the furniture first and then go with painting........thanks for your time again.

I think that's a good idea. If it's something dark like you are describing, that Bamboo would be pretty!

I don't know what furniture you will decide on but I do know that Anjou Pear is a beautiful paint color.
