Dollar Tree Scrapbooks

When I was in my Dollar Tree the other day I noticed lovely 12X12 scrapbooks. They only had a few pages in them but the fronts and backs were very stylish and professional looking.

I was in Dollar General yesterday they had 12x12 scrapbooks for $8 and the extra pages were something like $3 or $5 for 20 pages. I'm tempted to buy a book and see how well it holds up.

Make sure it is acid-free and archival quality and you should be fine. I love a great deal!

I do believe that's a good possibility. I top grafted one myself and it's sitting up on the gravel now awaiting planting. It is quite striking. IOW weeping Katsura.

Su, I think you set up is wonderful ! Plants look beautiful !!!! And I love the three hanging baskets also!!!!! Dollar Tree/yard sales/thrift stores are all great possibilities for reservoir containers! Yay!!!! Speaking of reservoirs,,,I am experimenting with 2 Kcups with fresh cut leaves. I have put them right away on wicks. I usually put them in a snack baggie with a couple inches of soil, set on its short end. They do well, and then when I transplant and put them on their wick,,,,,well,, let's just say I have an extensive cemetery. sigh,,,RIP. SO,,,we are going to START on wicks. We'll see what happens with a little more consistency. I don't have room to "dome" everything after they come out of the baggies. And I am not transplanting when they are too little. But when you grow in a controlled "womb" and are thrust into the cold cruel world, well,,,, sigh. Anyway,,,I am all for recycling!!!! Rosie PS. We have been going to Fish Fry every Friday and I save my plastic glass and my cole slaw condiment cup/lid and YEP I take them home with me! Now multiply that by 3 (me, husband, grandson) then multiply that by 6 days of fish fries and WOW!!! AND if I go out to eat and they serve me in plastic,, well, yep! Same rules apply, they come home with me!!! Lots of containers!!!!! I can use them and better than ending up in the landfill !!!! Useful things!!!! Yay!!!!!

What a great idea, Jane, and what a gorgeous orchid! I will have to remember that for my bromeliads. Wire hanging baskets are getting way too expensive. I've started trying to find them on 90% off sale at summer's end at Dollar General, and have been somewhat successful, but they don't last too long. I try to get the liners on clearance too and stockpile them.

Marica, I'm not sure yet. I have some cheap shallow plastic tubs I might pile them in. I barely water them in the winter, though so I don't need much to catch water. All I have is one big patio glass door that I sit them by, inside my condo. It faces NE which isn't the best. But they do fine and come back every year. It's very difficult moving around that side of my bedroom haha. It can drop down into 30's and sometimes even 20's in our winters. To bring mine on when it gets into 40's. I don't use any light or heat bulbs, just the window.

I find the coolest embellishments (some are handmade) and stickers at the Dollar Store for $2.00 and at Deals for $1.00!! Haven't seen the actual scrapbooks there yet.

I work in a store and we have an amazing scrapbook section. We are a discount store and I know one of the Laura Ashley scrapbooks sells for 19.99 at our store and 59.99 at Micheals...and yes, it's the exact same book. Talk about a mark up at Micheals.
I get some of the neatest items there. And best of all I get first dibs and I get to order it so if I see something I really want, I order it in. :)

I like their 8x8 scrapbooks for $2.You don't need alot of pictures. It makes it easy to do a scrapbook fast for a gift after a party. People love it and they think it's so hard!

My 6 year old gs loves to look at my birds and blooms magazine.He loves all the birds and other animals.So for xmas i'm cutting out a lot of the pictures and making him a scrapbook of those pictures.I'm sure he's gonna love having his own so that he can look at it whenever he wants,instead of just when he's here.In expensive,yet a nice gift.IMHO

I bought some calendar pages from Dollar Tree and they are printed crooked but I'm going to cut them out and glue to a piece of cardstock and use them in my CM frig frame.

I get so many good deals at the Dollar Tree. Their scrap
booking paper comes 6 pages in a pack for $1.00. I have
bought their glue for scrapbooking, they have everything
that you need.
