Hey, I am with you! I have found some GREAT buys at Dollar Tree. When you go back next time be sure and check out the school supplies/toy section for stencils, and the party favor section also sometimes carries stencils in it also. I have also bought tons of rubbermaid type boxes to hold all of my scrapbook supplies in, a great help when you are looking for a certain tool, or item. During the pre-school season, they really stock up on their paper products and then I have found some plastic folder type things that are to be used in a notebook that make a large folding pocket with a velcro type closure on them and they work GREAT to hold your stencils that do not have hole punches in them or are too small to fit elsewhere. They are the full size of a large 3 ring binder page. Be sure and look at those foam puzzles too, I love them and they work fantastic! I also bought lots of their scissors too. I can not begin to list all the items I have gotten for scrapbook making at the Dollar Tree. I would be lost without them. Penny

You are absolutely right. I have found TONS of scrapbooking supplies at Dollar Tree. I bought one of each of the scissors. Have bought rubber stamps, binders, vinyl envelopes, etc. They are great for all craft supplies.

Your are right about the Dollar Tree. I was there today and bought scissors too! I have also bought some of the gift bags, cut out the motifs and used them for accents on my scrapbook pages.

WOW!! Went to the Loony~Lizard yesterday...(How come our dollar store can't have a normal name like "Dollar Tree"??LOL)Anyway....they had oodles of stuff there just calling my name! I bought 6 stencils, (I do a lot of stenciling in my albums) and two more pairs of scissors!! All for $8 and tax! I was one happy camper!!

Shucks, our Dollar Tree must be behind the times. I went there yesterday and only found one pair of deckle-edge scissors, and none of that other good stuff. Maybe next time.

I did find some FABULOUS blank books at Waldenbooks--beautifully bound, lined, acid-free paper--for only $5.98. I bought two. Now what am I going to do with them? LOL

The dollar store sounds neat to get supplies. I will have to try that. Just remember when you get stickers, picture, tapes, glues, papers, etc...they need to be acid free to put with old or new pictures. If you want to use a newspaper clipping or something that is not acid free, encase it in clear plastic sheeting first then paste to your album. Norma

I love the Dollar Tree too! I've never seen any sissors at ours, but I did pick up some great paper punches! I got a teddy bear punch, a train punch, and a music note punch! All for just $1!! I also got a few s.b. kits too.

Ack!! We don't have any dollar stores around here!! What a bummer.

My mom has some near her (in RI) -- I'll have to make a trip to one the next time I"m visiting. These deals sound too good to pass up!

I just *love* the Dollar Tree. I think it's my fav. store. :o) I didn't get the scissors there. By the time our $ Tree got them, I had already bought some Fiskars scissors at Wal-Mart and at a flea market. I'd love to find the punches some of you were referring to. I'll have to keep my eye out. $ Tree is great for all sorts of things. :oD

Thanks for the "scoop" about the Dollar Tree. Went there today and bought scissors (3 pr.) and some scrapbooking page kits. I would have never thought to look there for scrapbooking supplies - thanks again. I bet Dollar Trees all across the U.S. are seeing a sudden SURGE in business since this forum! Ha Ha!

Are there any Dollar Trees in N Texas? I used to go to the one in Panama City Fl and loved it. There is nothing like it around N Dallas.
