My reading glasses, I have several pair, that I bought from DT. Why pay more when they work, right?

Plus I buy their cheese crackers, for my marinated crackers.

Ours has a freezer section, but I'm not wild about trying their frozen foods. Frozen peaches are not good.

I also buy my cards there for 50 cents, but beware, they also have cards for $1.00. You have to check the card isle for the prices.

Yes, I know what you mean about the readers! We found readers for my husband here clicmagneticglasses.com/....sorry I don't know how to make it clickable...lol, he was always losing his or leaving them someplace. Now since he got these it's one less thing to look for when we're headed out the door! He just gets the basic ones, and the last time he ordered I got some also. I leave mine at home, and use my DT ones on the road. Makes sense for us.

Our store has the frozen stuff as well. I get the "swirly" popcicles as my grand calls them, and they have a tiny Totinos cheese pizza that she likes to add Pepperoni and bacon bits to before I cook it. She says she's cooking! lol

I bought their Jergens Extra Moisturizing Hand Wash until they quit getting it in. It was great and washed off easily. I didn't need hand lotion after I washed like I do with softsoap. I am going to check everywhere I shop to see if I can find it. I may have to order it off the net.

In the freezer section they have pretzel bites. It's like the big soft pretzels you buy at food stands, but these are about 1 1/2" long. Bake in the microwave or toaster oven, a really nice snack! only $1

I found cute straw hats in there.

I just bought 6 cards there yesterday. I don't mind paying for the $1.00 ones when you compare $4.00 and $5.00 a card in other stores.

Sunglass croakies(cords to hold your eye glasses). Monet crackers(I use them with my crab salad). Jars of red bell peppers. Powdered vanilla coffee creamer. Armour pepparoni & salami. Big cans of diced tomatoes.

I get most of my greeting cards there. Some of them are quite nice. Besides, I'd rather spend money on the gift or dinner out then the card. Also their gift bags are cute. I bought a bunch that looked like purses to "wrap" birthday presents.

Dollar Tree has name brand snacks in smaller size bags that are good for my kids lunches or snacks at the pool. They have fun puzzles and books for the kids.

I was just there a few days ago and bought a package of those small watch type batteries and returned ones I had just bought at Target for OVER SEVEN DOLLARS!!!! I also got a good pair of readers. You have to try them on for a good fit, several just didn't fit my face right. I also get Kosher Salt there. I buy their cards too!

I buy a kind of swiffer duster there. I get the kind you put on the floor sweeper and also the "feather duster" type. They are so cheap and work as well as the real ones for a fraction of the price.

Gosh I wish there were a DT close to me, nearest one is over 50 mi. :(

I buy the commode brushes there--complete w/ the holder. Just think about how filthy those things must get, even w/ a cleaner in the commode. Kinda creeps me out, so for $1. I don't mind tossing the old ones. I love $tree and buy lots of cards there, and their Sudoku books, and finally found the 2.5 gallon ziplock bags. Those things are hard to find, and so useful. DH likes their dental floss w/ the holder--I could go on and on. Not to mention gift bags!! Yessirree bob!! I love $ Tree. I used to buy my readers there til I had to get distant vision glasses, too. My eye doc told me to buy them there. Pretty good recommendation.

I just posted on the Dinner thread and realized something else I like at the Dollar Tree.

I LOVE to bake, but it's not smart for me (or my waistline) to have dozens of cupcakes or cookies lying around. Dollar Tree sells 1/2 size boxes of Betty crocker cake/cookie mix.

In my photography I use a lot of the 24x36 foam core matt boards for everything from matting a photo to building a set or prop for Frogs antics. Those boards are $3.50 at Michaels and sometimes I find them on sale for $2.79.

Jan found the same boards at dollar tree for $1 each so she called and told me. I told her to grab some,,so she came home with 6, which she said that was all they had but she said the store manager told her it was a regular stock item so if we needed more to check back in a week.

The next week Jan returned to the store and found they had both white & black finish so she called and asked me which I wanted so I told her to get some of each..Later when Jan got home she said there is only ten boards in a case, so I bought a case of white & a case of black, but now that you have all reminded me,,I think I need to go and get another couple cases cause Frogs antics is killing me,,,,,LOL

On the negative side, I have bought their bug aerosol spray, and it's not worth the money. Only last after using 2 or 3 times. Not enough liquid for the money :o)

I buy a lot of my glass items for my totems there it is cheaper than goodwill and salvation army in some cases and they have nice stuff.
I buy cards and gift bags there and gift paper and bows etc.
Also some cleaning products and aluminum baking pans.
I picked up a lot of little things for the RV there.

they have put in a big brand new 99c store here where a DSW was and it is very nice too, has a lot of food including produce for 99c.

The 99 cent store is closer to me than the dollar store.We have the first and biggest 99 cent stores in our area.

I but lots of things there,in fact i go there before i go to the grocery store.If you hit it on the day they get shipments it's even better.I get the same blueberries that the grocery store sells(fresh),all kinds of fresh fruit and veggies,frozen foods,pancakes,waffles,etc,luigi's ices.Plastic bags like brawny,and i've also found the 2 1/2 gal bags there,i use those to store my cross stitch stuff.Coke,pepsi,7up & shasta 2 and 3 ltr of sodas.Can't beat that price.
We have both fresh fruits,veggies,frozen stuff,deli stuff and everything in between.

Beware, some things for a dollar at dollar tree are cheaper at WalMart. I know :o)
