Here are a few pics of our LR, complete with CL navy blue sofa. The wall color is BM Pine Grove, the chaise is a muted red, there is a green/cream striped chair and 3 swivel chairs covered in a grey/green velvet (CL specials will be recovered this fall if $$ allow). It all blends nicely, and the navy is better than we thought, not as drab as brown, and not as cool (as in cool color, not kewl cool) as the brand new black one I had coveted.

Sorry about the big pics, Photobucket keeps kicking me out, and even after I thought the size was changed, it wasn't.

I think that sofa is great looking! I hope it works out for you. I also bought a leather sofa from CL, but mine is called 'Autumn Glaze'. In the room with it, I have an upholstered chair, and a leather chair in a different color.

This is the first pic I came to of the sofa, with Sam modeling it. The eBay coffee table had just arrived so is bare.

You can't tell from the awful pic, but the chair is a greenish-blue and light brown check.

The leather chair is a rusty color called Stallion, I think.

I think your wing chair in gold would look very nice with the sofa, and you can probably make or buy some pillows to relate the two together.

Then, I'd try the navy chair and the leather ones for comfort, and see which is best for you. Navy, red and gold can look beautiful, and again, I am certain you can make or buy pillows that will have all three colors in them. Or, do you need or want an ottoman, and can it fit in the room in front of the chair? How large are the leather chairs? Personally, I'd mix leather with some upholstery, but some have all leather here and it looks very nice.

I can't see your rug well, can you attach a close-up of that? Do you feel that the navy and red chairs would work equally well with it?

Sandyponder, your blue sofa reassures me that being blue instead of a more standard color is a feature, not a problem. Thanks so much for posting that! The color adds something.

my3dogs, your doggies always look so cute. I've admired your cl leather furniture before. I can't find a picture of the rug now. I'll have to post one later. The rug goes great with burgundy colored furniture because it has some in the rug. I haven't tried it with navy and if it has any navy, it's not much. It's pretty neutral rug though. The subtle burgundy piping on the leather couch (which I can't even see in the photos) may be good for matching it to the rug.

I think that the blue chair probably would look better in the room simply because the leather recliners would take up a lot of space and they have a heavier look. I wish I could use all the chairs, but I think two chairs would fit best. My hunch is that two identical upholstered gold chairs would be best. But I love leather and I love a deal. And that blue wingback would match. What to do? I don't have the space for everything.

I think a blue sofa flanked with one gold chair and one blue chair potentially could look unbalanced because the blues are so much darker than the gold, which reflects light.

I'll see all the furniture in person tomorrow. The recliners have got to be big though. I could accommodate the footstool sizewise.

I love navy leather and pair my loveseat with a leather chair and a funky Mexican wooden chair.Opposite the navy LS is a camel colored sofa.You'll make it work if you want to!

Blue can definitely be a wonderful color to work with as long as the complementary and accent colors are "cooperative". A few friends wondered about our color choice, even saying things like, "But blue isn't a current color", and "Blue is an unusual color choice. Why don't you pick something easier to work with, like green or tan?". I like to think that we're ahead of the curve and that we're setting the pace LOL. Blue can be very soothing and calming, which is what you want in a living space.

That's a really pretty sectional; it's a little like one that I have. :-)

A friend just remarked to me that the blue will look too modern in my traditional, muted room. I'm still inclined to think it will work with the right pillows.

I think that the style of the navy leather sofa is very traditional. And navy is a timeless color, so I don't see how you can go wrong, unless you don't care for it or it's not comfy when yuo see it. Be sure to update us!

I will indeed give an update. Yes, it looks very traditional to me too. I can't wait to see it. I sure hope I like it in person.

I liked the blue leather sofa, so I bought it. I think it will work out well. By the time I got there, the recliners were gone. I decided against the blue upholstered chair.

Most importantly, Comet gives his seal of approval. :-) (Please ignore the clutter and excess rugs--I can't put them away until I get the old sofa out of the room.)
