Color Chairs to Go With a Black Leather Sofa?
Comments (4)Can't believe it. I Finally found some Palliser color swatches! (not my store but hopefully can get any of these) I would consider leather to match the sofa. In microfiber, I'm drawn to: Grade B Balance Midnight Grade C Graphite Grade C Aberdeen Russet (boldest) Grade C Cranage Shitake Grade C-Otis Black (pattern) Grade F-Allana Bone or Allana Storm (patterns) Of course the beige colors are safe. I'd love some opinions! The sale ends tomorrow. Here is a link that might be useful: Palliser Color Swatches...See MoreNavy blue leather sofa? and what chairs?
Comments (9)Sandyponder, your blue sofa reassures me that being blue instead of a more standard color is a feature, not a problem. Thanks so much for posting that! The color adds something. my3dogs, your doggies always look so cute. I've admired your cl leather furniture before. I can't find a picture of the rug now. I'll have to post one later. The rug goes great with burgundy colored furniture because it has some in the rug. I haven't tried it with navy and if it has any navy, it's not much. It's pretty neutral rug though. The subtle burgundy piping on the leather couch (which I can't even see in the photos) may be good for matching it to the rug. I think that the blue chair probably would look better in the room simply because the leather recliners would take up a lot of space and they have a heavier look. I wish I could use all the chairs, but I think two chairs would fit best. My hunch is that two identical upholstered gold chairs would be best. But I love leather and I love a deal. And that blue wingback would match. What to do? I don't have the space for everything. I think a blue sofa flanked with one gold chair and one blue chair potentially could look unbalanced because the blues are so much darker than the gold, which reflects light. I'll see all the furniture in person tomorrow. The recliners have got to be big though. I could accommodate the footstool sizewise....See MoreSofa for dark blue leather club chairs...
Comments (5)I personally think it would be too much leather. We have a leather sofa ( great for kids, grown-up kids, & dogs ) but I have a mix of upholstered chairs in my den. I did not buy them all together but since I basically have used the same colors thru out my house - it works, I guess. It takes away from the look that I went & bought the set at the local furniture store at the same time. I do think it is wise to stay with a more neutral sofa - doesn't have to be solid but a nice tweed that brings all the colors together or subtle stripe/check. Then you can always bring in bolder fabrics in with your pillows & maybe one of your accent chairs. Here is a pic of my den (also with a Karastan rug)Of course some things have changed from this pic!! I had my pillows made with 2 fabrics so I can flip them - on the other side is a khaki linen that I use in the summer..... Smiles:)...See MoreCan black leather and brown fabric looks good on a sofa
Comments (1)If you post photos of your options, it would help. Envisioning what you mean by mixing fabric and leather, as long as both are quality materials, for sure…love brown/black....See MoreBeverlyFLADeziner
