Comments (136)Thank you all again for the compliments, it's been a long time and I wanted to reply to a couple of questions. go_figure, the dimensions of the oven/pantry cabinetry is 16 feet. The range cabinetry is 10 feet. The island is slightly over 7' long by 3' wide. Regarding the red espresso machine, we LOVED that machine and tried to make sure we matched some red items with it. Sadly it died about 18 months ago. We replaced it with a bland silver espresso machine which actually produces much better coffee. We still can't get ourselves to throw away the broken red machine so it sits in our basement knowing it will never get fixed... Thanks again all, and best wishes on all of your remodels!...See MoreStain my cabinets light blue? or do White on white on white?
Comments (18)Regrettably, that is not my kitchen. It is one whose colors I tried to replicate, with results so bad (this is how I know how wrong colored stains can turn out) that I had to go another direction completely . The kitchen is by Timeless Kitchen Design. They have a web site and a blog, and even a proprietor -- Kevin Ritter -- who may be able to identify the hardware. For anyone who might yearn to have one of his wonderful kitchens, forum member honeychurch has posted here and on a blog about her experience. The irony is that the photo that so won my heart is actually somewhat distorted from the original, which is slightly warmer in its coloring. Comments (9)OMG! I could have started this same forum!! So glad I found you! I too just ordered the supreme white for my island (2 slabs - 144 inches long) and I cannot find a perimeter I am happy with! The supreme white is the prettiest thing I have ever seen! Someone suggested Kensho silestone (or caesarstone?) but it is not the right shade and the concrete color is too dark because my perimeter is large. I do not care for the pietra because it has too much movement next to the supreme white. My designer convinced me not to go with concrete as it is too porous even when sealed. My cabinets are white also - not stark white, but a tad off (carnation). I really do not want to do supreme white everywhere and I am also considering white silestone. One of my designers doesn't like that either because the whites are never the same, but another designer at the firm likes it. Let me know what you find!! Help! Also, I posted about smartouch faucets but no one answered (you can touch them anywhere on the spout and it goes on) - did you look at them? What style are your cabinets?...See MoreHow dark to stain cabinets w/ Alaska White granite?
Comments (28)The Mushroom Tinted Varnish, which has a hint of ?taupe, is lovely with your countertops. It doesn't really look white. Any temptation to do uppers & lowers in that color? The Macadamia also looks nice with your stone & I would probably choose that one with the Cappacino lowers. I have true white cabinets & American Black Walnut floors. My cabinets are fine but the floors - dents galore. We are empty nesters but I'm always dropping stuff. Edit: I just read your post that you may change countertops. In that case, the Cappucino & Macadamia (lighter white). The Walnut floor is gorgeous & I would not give that up but the somewhat busy countertop, high level of variation in the walnut floors & 2 colors of cabinets could be too many things going on. Just a thought as I'm not one of those people that can visualize everything together. I have to see a picture. edited again: I keep writing Chestnut instead of Cappucino....See Moreromy718
