I have the Scrapbooks & more program from American Greetings. It's got some cute stuff! I just take out the normal computer paper and insert in my acid free scrapbook paper and print! It's great for fonts (there are thousands!), quick pages (print and add your photos) etc. Hope this helps! Hilary

I also make some of my pages on my computer. I have the Print Shop 5.0 program that came with 2 big books filled with 300,000 different clipart, boarders, fonts,ect. There is always something for every catagory you can think of. I also just put in my acid free scrapbooking paper or cardstock and print up my page leaving room for my pictures.

Thank you for the responses. When you aren't using a special scrapbooking program, do you use any special borders around where your photos will be placed & if so, do you have any problems sizing them to fit your photo? Also, are you using the 8.5" x 11" paper rather than the 12" paper in your printer? Again TIA.

My company is writing a very simple to use scrapbooking program. Do you think that the scrapbookers out there want to do the cutting, pasting, and sticking, or do you think that there are a lot of people who would like to have a program like this that with just a few clicks would create high quality layouts? Or would some people do a little of both? What features would you want in a program like this?

I have both the Creative Photo Album Deluxe and the newly released upgrade Creative Photo Album Volume III by Dogbyte. Love both of them. Lots of borders, page designs, graphics, fonts, etc. I have made several good looking pages using just the pages that I print from these programs. For a 12 x 12" page, which is what I make, the programs print the borders on 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper and you cut and paste for the 12 inch pages. Works great. You can find these programs at this site if you are interested and the price is not bad either.

Brenda (and others),...I have the Deluxe version of this program and noticed that a newer version is out. I occassionally will use the older program, does the new one really have a lot more? Did you think that it was worth buying the newer version? And was there a rebate/discount for previous users? TIA!

Nelda...I do think the Version III was worth the money - it is all different from the Deluxe version as far as I have been able to tell to this point. It loads in the same directory as the Deluxe version but you still have both programs and can access either one - I still use the Deluxe as well as the newer Version III. I got mine as an upgrade from the Dogbyte site and saved about $10.00. Only paid around $20 plus postage. You can quickly spend that and more in papers and stickers.

Kevin, what I would like is a scrapbooking program that would hunt out where the pictures are stored (or at least ask me if I'd like it to search.) Maybe give thumbprints of the pictures so it's easy to click on it to bring it onto the working page. Yeah, have part of the screen for scrapping, the other part is your completed (or soon-to-be completed) page, with the option to make it full screen. Maybe stagger the two areas for aesthetics.

Include usable fonts, banners, borders, frames for the pictures - garden themes, holiday themes, baby and vacation themes, and sports -all while being able to size everything.

Personally, I like the look of "layers" in regular scrapbooking. On the puter, computer scrapbooking pages look fine, but in an album, the depth is missing. Maybe you could have the option of shadowing to give the 2dimensional page a fuller effect.

Kevin, I agree with Lore on the ideal program. Also, one that can utilize the larger page. I have a color printer that can take 11x14 but can't find a program that fully fills that page - I want to make a 10 1/2 x 10 1/2 page layout.
