My DD is 8 and probably one of the thinnest girls in her class at school. It's hard to shop for her. Even with the pants with the adjustable waistband, we cinch those up tight as they go. At the same time, she has a big appetite. So while people tell me how thin she is, if they've seen her eat they never ask "Don't you feed her?" LOL. She is a gymnast. So when people see her in short sleeves and shorts, summer clothes, what they notice is how muscular she is. Her practices include conditioning and her coaches talk to the girls about making healthy food choices. So while DD eats several times a day, she eats bananas, yogurt, etc. DD is average height. Some of the girls on her gym team are also shorter than average, so overall very petit. But when they do more sit ups than anyone else in PE as school, no one tells them they are "too skinny" or makes any assumptions about their size! The girls surely know they are small. But they know first that they are strong. Some people have expressed concern about young girls being in gymnastics, that they will feel pressure to by skinny, not eat well. But clearly, we've had exactly the opposite experience! The coaches want the girls to feel strong and healthy and to love their bodies enough to care for them. I would completely ignore the comments of others. Put her in a sport that suits her, that will develop a healthy body image that is about strength and fitness. She is my only DD (my others are boys). At her age, her body image is developing and how that takes shape now will last a lifetime. I cannot say enough about the positive impact I think being involved in a sport she loves is having on her self-esteem and body image. On the occassion that DD is told she's skinny, she will show them her muscles! LOL!

When I look back at my very 1st scrapbook, I get disgusted at how much I thought I had to cut the pictures. Now, I only cut off the part of the photo that no one would ever be interested in...such as a recliner that takes up the whole left side of a photo, or excess grass at the bottom of a pic. I get tons of compliments on my albums now, and people tell me I should quit nursing and just scrapbook professionally. Good luck w/your album, and congratulations. There's a ton of stuff to choose from out there, but be creative and imaginative. Don't buy stickers of flowers...create your own. Don't place stickers messily over your entire page..group them together to make a scene or corner decoration. This way, they won't take away from your pictures (which should be the focal point of your album). Hope this helps.

We got our Ticor sink from Overstock too. Waited to get it with grids from Galaxy and they were out of stock of the sink when the grids arrived - we should have secured the order. We were desperate as we only had 2 weeks before the granite was to be cut. I search for the Ticor sink S3560 and eventually found it on Overstock. We did the same thing - reviewed the model number, photos etc. and ordered through Overstock. The sink arrived in the Ticor box, appears very solid and is insulated. Our installer said it was a solid sink, they noted that some square sinks can be flimsy - ours isn't. I am glad that Ticor confirmed that Overstock sells their sinks - there was always that question in my mind. We would have preferred to order with Galaxy - they are very good to deal with, but timing became the issue.

Pattie, yes, fantastic. And you are entitled to have as many as you want, to cheer you along the path you are on now. And you know what? I have had the best day today that I have had in a long time. Yesterday was grocery shopping, which always wears me out, but by today I was even washing windows! Donna, you are lucky to have your own DD to do your tootsies. I am so grateful to have "my kids" around. My DD lives about 5 miles from me, and she does so much for me, and she won't ever let me repay her for anything, so I checked out first at the nail place and I paid for hers. HA! gotcha! My DGD lives about 30 minutes away; she is the "cupcake girl," and we had such a good time and the girls were so much fun, she went by on Tuesday and took them cupcakes. Speaking of paying though, the pedicures were only $20 each. I have friends who have a girl come to their house and do a pedicure, and she charges $45. And of course, she doesn't have one of those massage chairs. If you have never had a pedicure, do yourself a favor. Get one! Sue
