I have several 3/4" Toro Flo Pro irrigation valves which I use to control a drip irrigation system. Recently, one valve has failed to close when its turn to water is over. I was told that the only thing that fails is the diaphragm. Clean it first, then replace it. Cleaning, followed by the installation of a replacement diaphragm had no impact on the problem. By swapping parts between the two valves, I've concluded that the problem is that one solenoid is not closing properly. The solenoid appears to be a 'no service' unit. That it is filled with water appears to be normal; am I correct? It appears that it functions by lifting a flap from the "Seat Assy., Discharge" (part key #7, 89-0069) in the diagram for the "Flo-Pro Series, 3â4 and 1 Inch AVB" in the link given below, which is a blow-up of the parts for this automatic vacuum breaker control valve. http://www.lljohnson.com/Documents/rescom%20literature/Toro/Valves/Flo%20Pro%20Anti%20Siphon%20Installation%20Guide.pdf I tried activating a good solenoid with power from the controller and comparing it with the bad solenoid. Clearly the good one closed and opened reliably. The bad one hung up in the open position. It is not clear to me if the closing of the flap is spring driven or gravity driven. I lubricated the bad one with a few drops of high temperature or phenyl-methyl-silicone oil and activated it through many cycles. It seems to be working for the time being. I had never heard of .art but then I have never had anything to do with AOL either, learn something new every day! From that article this seems to be the key cure. It can be turned off!! To turn it off, launch AOL. This can be done on-line or off-line. Click on My AOL, then choose Preferences, then choose WWW. There you will find three choices for graphics; No graphics, Compressed graphics, Uncompressed graphics. Choose the Uncompressed graphics. Now the whole problem of the .art files will be gone. If you download a GIF or a JPG image, it will be on your hard drive as the GIF or JPG image, and be readable and usable in the normal fashion. I am hooked on using imageshack, they have some great extensions and add ons which make saving pictures to my imageshack account so easy. I love the imageshack extension for firefox, it allows you to just right click on any picture and from the list there is now an option to save to imageshack, voila it goes right to my imageshack account. they also have a great tool you can add to windows, any picture on your pc you can right click on and there will be a menu item upload to Imageshack, voila the picture is sent from my pc directly to my imageshack account. are you wanting to purchase this program? If so here is a link to a site that I think is fairly safe, this is not a free program. Of course as always be sure to download to your pc then SCAN the file well with your antivirus program before you double click on it to install to make sure there are no bad things attached. ACDSee Classic There are some very very good programs that are free that can do what it does. IrfanView is an excellent free program. Picasa free is also a great program. Picasa there are some great tutorials here for it.

Wikipedia says: Windows XP (including service packs) does not come with any version of the .NET Framework installed. So don't worry... When something you install in thr future requires it... it will tell you. No reason to have it if you don;t have something requiring it.
