I have moved the table behind small chair (chair is getting cream w/ black zebra throw) more central to window as suggested and I like it. What do you all think of a glass swag light in that corner sort of like this? I think I need something with some shape but not sure if I should bring a bit of dark cherry there or something colorful like an outdoor type ceramic stool that will double as a little table. I would like something interesting. I'm feeling like I'm getting closer to making the room look finished but still very stuck on lighting near sofa. Please keep the ideas coming as they are helping a lot!

Spoke with my Sis last night. Change of colors, she wants peach and dark reds/and dark greens to match the border in her basement sewing room area. I'm thinking peach with a little red highlight here and there hydrangea might be alright. I'll have to do some on a paper first and see what they look like - any ideas for peach colored floral, nothing to difficult please or super huge. Not roses, I painted a homemade flower box for her with pink flowers on a black background - she loves that black. Sal

Val - Thanks! So you think I should get a different pillow and throw for the wing chair? I'll admit I don't love that planter I just had a hard time finding anything. A different style? Not an urn type? Big, wide pot? I've thought about a coffee table. Even found one on CL awhile back I considered getting. I think I'm going to hold off though. I could see it easily becoming a place for STUFF to collect. Plus I don't want it to start feeling cramped. I may get one in time though. Wantoretire - I never thought of a dowel rod. Really think that would work? Thanks for the idea and the compliment! Funky - Since the carpet isn't even a year old I don't think I can bring myself to put a rug on there yet. If it were worn pretty bad and we didn't have the money to replace it, then maybe. Plus I think I'd need a pretty large rug, and what about the pattern since my futniture is, eee I cringe at the thought of finding "the one". Ha there would be many posts on here. I agree it would help to tie it together. However, the money we're spending in a couple weeks to have all the carpet FIXED (thank you Shaw) I could buy a nice rug. :) Maybe sometime down the road. I probably could bring myself to spend that on a pillow but DH ...haha. He would think I lost it. Ya know, I think you're the person on here that really got into pheasants all of a sudden. 1 year ago I wouldn't of looked twice at a pheasant or any type of bird print, etc. I find it interesting that this forum had kind of help mold me into my decorating style. Getting back on track, do you think I should still keep the other pillows on the couch except for the matching one in the middle, and try and find a kidney shaped lighter pillow to tie everything together. I will say I was looking at the room again today and IRL the sofa and loveseat have the gold color that matches the bronze/gold pillows exact but looking at the whole room it kind of looks like the tan color of the wing chair. What about the main wall with the web chair? Should any art go there or no?

She was diagnosed with Lupus when she was a soph. in high school. She nearly died then but it went into remission and stayed in remission until she was in her 60's I don't know if she had multi problems or if the Lupus causes high blood pressure, but hers was very high and they couldn't control it even with taking several blood pressure pills. She sat down in her recliner one evening to read her Bible...and never woke up. The next morning her husband found her there with her open Bible laying on her chest. He though she was asleep. He said she looked so peaceful. She didn't have a real good life but she made the best of it. She was very friendly and loved being with people. She didn't take to my mom who came to take care of the two little ones when my dad's first wife died. She had been with her grandmother and wanted to stay there. I remember she had bad eye problems and hated to wear glasses. I think the kids probably made fun of her. But even though the gave her a lot of problems they were still beautiful. Her son was the highlight of her life. She wasn't supposed to have any children because of her health...but I'm glad it happened anyway.
