Bridesmaids - The Movie

Has anyone else seen the move, Bridesmaids? I got a chance to see it last night with several ladies that I work with and we loved it! We were constantly laughing and I was pleasantly surprisedly that all of the good parts weren't shown in the movie trailer. There is some language and raunchy parts, but it is a fantastic comedy. If you like Kristen Wiig from SNL you'll love this movie. Don't go with a man, this is a movie you want to see with your girl friends.

I liked it, but I do not see where the F word adds anything to the dialog of movies.
The gal from Mike and Molly is really a hoot, isn't she?

"OSS-117 Cairo, Nest of Spies" with Jean du Jardin, star of the award-winning silent film "The Artist". (You will LAUGH!) Three George Clooney movies: "Michael Clayton", "The American", and "The Descendents". I wanted to strangle that priest in "THe Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio"! "The Lion in Winter". "Oklahoma"

Lol! She's pretty nutty Ceph! It's great that BF sticks up for himself, you, and A___ though. Sweeby is right in the fact that he sounds like a gem. He may not be A___'s real father, but he's his dad. That's fantastic and he should be proud. Keep your chin up lady! Find humor in the situation. Lord knows it's needed.

I agree about I Love Lucy. Somehow comforting! I watched a couple of episodes early this morning. Lucy was trying to figure out how to tell Ricky that she was expecting. You were not permitted to use the word "pregnant" on tv then. So the episode was entitled "Lucy is Enciente". And she and the cast managed to discuss her pregnancy throughout the story without mentioning the dreaded word. In the following episode Ricky is making her breakfast in bed. Married couples also were not allowed to share a bed in those tv days. So she sits up in her single bed (two feet away from her husband's). It looks barely wide enough to hold her!

Yes I saw it. Good comedy.

DD saw it too and said she could really relate. She's the MOH for a friend and the MOB is behaving much like the friend in the movie. LOL Major control issues but doesn't follow through.

Joan - I agree - why did they put the fbombs in this movie? - it's a chick flick for heaven's sake. It would have been just as funny without them. Yes, the actress from Mike & Molly stole the show in my opinion - I love her!
wildchild - Your poor dd. I can't imagine having to deal with someone like that. There are too many OCD control freaks out there.

My DD saw is along with her 24 yr. old DD and neither one was impressed....Thought it was a waste of time and money and didn't enjoy hearing the F word......

I saw it. I agree that one girl was the best part of the movie (she played Megan). It was "meh".

If you ask me, it seemed like a chick flick that was written by a guy, to make it a chick flick he wouldn't hate to watch.

Plus, a BIG peeve of mine.....scenes that were in the commercial and the trailer were NOT in the actual movie. AARGH!

Dances.

Yes Dances I agree with you. I went with my daughter and I told her that some of the scenes we saw on tv weren't in the movie. Some parts were funny, but I found the movie to drag on quite a bit.
