I just received email from a PatCe no forum name that she is always leaving the swap..........

I am sorry but it is going to be the responsibility of the swappers who drop out to find a replacement.....to fill their spot..or it will just not be filled!

I'll take that spot. It might take me a bit to find all the posts so I know what I'm doing but I can squeeze in another block. You just make the block in Xmas fabrics on off-white background and include extra strips for winner to make edging? I can do that.

Tool,,,there are 12 blocks to make...I would offer but I have mine done and a lot going on right now...we are to send 12 blocks and 12 2.5in. strips from one of the color fabrics in the block... I hope we find a taker!!!

Here is copy of letter I sent to drop out of this swap.Had thought it was a temporary thing with Mother, but I'm spending part of each day with her,she will eat if I help.Again, I'm srry....just no way I could have known ahead of time. BTW,my name on here is the same as always.Pat

I'm sorry ,but I have to drop out of the Xmas swap.My Mother is nearly 90 & her health has started going down hill,all at once.The Dr says she may linger for a few wks'mos,no way of knowing.My bro is her only other close relative & we usually take turns spending time with her,etc.Now his health won't let him do that,so I'm at the home nearly every day.
This all happened 2 wks ago,but the situation hasn't changed....so needed to let you know.I've never had to drop out of a swap,but know it's not gonna get done & hopefully you can find someone to take my place. PatCe

I'm not able to do another complete batch of 12...

but...if NO ONE steps up to fill the 2 spots that are open...maybe some of us can pitch in do a few each, so that 1 person is not having to do all 12??? But that might get confusing when it comes time to swapping....

Yes it would be tooo confusing when it comes time to swapping....all I can say is if the group is short swappers they will be making extra blocks on their own to finish their quilt! Right now I have way to much going on here at home....and I am working on my blocks.......

for this swap each swapper will

send 12 blocks (12.5" square unfinished) For the Strips which is fabric of Christmas fabric you make the block should be sent 12 strips (2.5" by the width of the fabric).

These blocks are due Ootober 31st mail out date.
