No need for that particular primer, or oil based primer at all at this stage. The main purpose for the original Kilz would be stain killing. I would use the Fresh Start acrylic primer.

Wow! Ok...the good news is you are getting the ENTIRE floor sanded (including the treads) and refinished. Excellent! That's what is needed at this point. Now for the treads...MOST stair treads are RED oak. That MIGHT BE why the treads take the stain a little differently than the WHITE OAK flooring (make sense now doesn't it?). The Loba HS 2K ImpactOil is comparable to Rubio = oiled finish. Do not mix the two. Now...onto the colours. Loba makes their own stains. The original floors had "white line" syndrome = the finished had BONDING FAILURE throughout the home. That was the original problem (regardless of the flooding). The stain was INCOMPATIBLE with the FINISH (whatever the finish was). This is the very reason why you should NEVER mix chemical families (Loba + Loba = success; DuraSeal + DuraSeal = success). The ImpactOil is new(er) the the N. American market. The VERY FIRST THING I would ask the refinishers is: Have you attended the Loba training classes? You are looking for a 'yes' when it comes to both the Invisible and the ImpactOil. I am a fabricator. Insist on a remake. You might not need to wait for material from the original supplier. While it is true color can vary between lots that issue is most important when pieces from different lots are to be seamed. When seamed even very slight differences in hue become obvious at the joint. Since the island is a stand alone piece a slab from a different lot could easily be a close enough match to not be noticeable even to a close inspection. The fabricator should have a remnant from the original work he can use to do a color match with the alternate lot. In any case the fabricator needs to fix the problem to your satisfaction.

Sorry this has happened to you. Here's the long saga of what occurred when we had a botched tile job. We had to start over with a new contractor. I finally found an excellent tile professional who rebuilt everything. If you decide you need to re-build it completely, there are a couple of websites that you can use to search for a tile pro. We did end up in district court, but not because we sued, We got sued by the bad contractor who said we fired them, which we didn't. But we had to respond to the suit and go through the process. Judge awarded us all money we had to spend on re-building everything, plus damages, court fees and annual interest. Still trying to collect though. I don't think we ever would have initiated a suit ourselves because we figured it was a real PITA, and it was. But maybe if you sue in small claims, and the guy is a real flake and doesn't respond or show up, you will get a default judgement. Who knows?
