Sorry to hear about the cold snap. I hope your plants will be okay. My medinilla is at the south east corner of the house. There is a overhang there so it doesn't get straight on sun but it does get early afternoon sun and it likes it. Our sun is not that intense here due to the humidity. There is not alot of info out there on medinilla but I found one source that says they like dappled afternoon sun so that is what I gave it lol. They are epiphytes in nature. It sounds like you got good plants for the area you want to plant in. There are so many good things you can plant there. Some may need frost protection in the winter but sometimes putting the tender ones up close to the house or under larger trees that keep their leaves in the winter etc. will help. I have a monstera that lives under a pine tree and has been out in the 20's this year in a pot and is still alive lol. ~Lenette

I definitely could and would delete it with out opening it. I have NO facebook and NEVER will however I get emails supposedly from face book about my account and related junk again I HAVE NO ACCOUNT!! It is all BS. Opening suspicious emails leads to trouble. Facebook is one of the easiest sites to hack it does not matter how secure your password is written. The code that facebook is written with is sloppy and they don't really care because after all they don't care about privacy that has been their stance all along. To see for yourself simply go to google and search hack facebook the directions are right there. Here it is in fact if you just type the word hack in the google search box the first option that pops up is hack facebook! That is how often it is searched that it is number one in the results. hack Facebook they even have nice little youtube videos to help you see how to do it.

I had the same thing happen. Contacted Garden Web about a year ago and someone wrote back it had to be a problem on my end; probably my internet provider blocking the emails. Didn't make sense. When GW asked for suggestions on how to improve their website a few months ago I tried again and sent an email to webmaster@gardenweb.com with Attention Tamara in the subject line. After much testing with permission to temp change my password she and her team were able to figure it out. Here's what she emailed me regarding the reason : "There was a glitch that allowed someone to register for your membername. Once they registered, they couldn't use the name, but it sort of confused the database. LOL. You could still continue to post, but when it needed to send email, for instance, it didn't know where to send it. That's sort of a simplified way of breaking it down. Once we removed the other account, everything fixed itself." I also couldn't save clippings. I'd click to save it would take forever to get the message that it was saved and also take forever to pull up my clippings and even though it said saved it wasn't in there. After she fixed my email problem the clipping problem also resolved. So maybe you have something similar going on. Try Tamara. Good luck.

Wow! This has by far been the most 'popular' thread of the ones I've started! Kind of ironic isn't it? Thank you all for your support. I've read each and every one of your comments. My doctor's first opinion based on biopsy results is that it is not operable at this stage. In the next few days I will probably know if there's anything that can be done to really help my medical condition and prolong my life while keeping quality of life decent or if there's not much hope due to metastasis. My father died of lung cancer with bone metastasis at the age of 65 and that was a more than nasty experience both for him and for us. I don't intend to let myself be subjected to this or impose this on my loved ones. For some reason I always thought that 65 was my life limit too but it seems I may have miscalculated. What I would ask from you at the moment is to PLEASE let this thread slip down the houzz thread list, so I can calmly continue browsing these rosy pages when I feel like it..
