What capacity size (washer) to wash king size quilts/comforters?!
Comments (18)Believe it or not, i wash sleeping bags and comforters in my tiny Bosch Axxis. The front loaders can hold a lot more than you think. I did a demo when I bought the Bosch and they had 17 towels stitched together at the store. Me and my friend, who ended up buying the same machine, were shoving those towels in there and could not believe it. This was a while ago (5 years ago) and people didn't think the tiny 23" X 23"X 33" machine would hold more than a towel. It can wash comforters AND sleeping bags. Even a Northface polyfill one, which are notorious for not getting wet. Go to an appliance store and start shoving a sleeping bag or a comforter in the washers and see what fits. Seriously. It sounds crazy but I'm so happy I did. I was switching from a super capacity top loader, so I could wash anything in it. I wanted to make sure I wasn't getting stuck with a tiny little machine that could only wash hand towels. I think Snyder Diamond and other high end places even have things like the towel demo sometimes. It's good to know where you are going to dump some serious cash!!...See MoreRethinking king size bed for master- anyone regret their queen?
Comments (66)If you have the room for it King is always better! But just keep in mind its always harder to downsize once you’re used to it. we upgraded from Queen to King when I was pregnant with my second kid.. i was already feeling cramped with one kid kicking me.. fast forward to now Ive separated/divorced and I let ex hubby keep King bed but i got myself a Cal King out of wanting to keep the space i was used to and my littlest still bed sharing… my current home has small bedrooms and i am now considering downgrading to a queen to have more room in my master bedroom, but i dont want to give up all the room.. wish i didnt get used to it now, because my bed takes up most of the room 😭...See MoreWhich Speed Queen model should I get?
Comments (8)We bought the AWNE92 model this spring. Mainly because it had a few extras that I thought I would use, like the third rinse and delay start. We are a family of 5 (soon to be 6), dairy farmers and we also cloth diaper our baby. So I needed a machine that could keep up with our laundry. I'm happy to say that this machine is up to the challenge. I don't use the third rinse as much as I thought I would. I do use the delay start, however the machine doesn't have a detergent dispenser. So if I use the delay start, I use powdered detergent and use it on barn clothes or towels. It is nice to set it at night so when I get up my first load is ready for the dryer....See MoreSize of 2 layered quilts on queen bed
Comments (1)I'd go with two of the same size. I'm doing the same thing on my king-sized bed - I actually have three king quilts - one pulled all the way up, another folded all the way down at the foot of the bed, and a third folded down partially over that one. It nicely displays all three, with the added bonus of being able to pull them up and snuggle beneath them when it's chilly at night....See Morecamlan
